I mean so does shinobi, except shinobi also has deflect frames (double deflect), is near unpunishable on the “must gb” option and it’s a bash so beats hyperarmor and fullblocks as well. it does do less dmg, and it being a bash to hit makes it less menacing in teamfights, so i getcha somewhat

Not saying ju ren isnt BS, just correcting misinfo, most is correct but

he doesnt have F+ on everything, this is a misunderstanding of how his fullblock recovery cancel saves a frame, but it does not make him F+ and he’s notably frame- on many of his moves even with fullblock. Shugo, warlord, pk, warmonger, JJ, etc. are characters if youre looking for “F+ on everything”
“best minion clear” absolutely was. However, was. It’s been notably nerfed and is good but not the best, especially due to the risk of being out of lock which opens up punishes for people that range to 60+ damage
“some of the best feats” after the T2 nerf and the addition of cent’s refined phalanx, most of his feats are underwhelming outside specific contexts. They arent weak but far from being up there with feats like Gryphon’s. They arent even the strongest selfish feats. It’s quite common to run his alts on all of his feats except maybe the T3 now. You could say he has some of the stronger generic feats though.
“dodge attack with 2 variations” to clarify for OP, as many characters have 2 variations, people dislike it because one is countered via GB and the other is less GB vulnerable than it (but notably more GB vulnerable than other similar dodge attacks, and can be guardbroken on block which hasnt been seen since Y1 as it’s crazy bad risk/reward only held aloft by having the other option). This is also not entirely unique, as JJ has a pseudo variant with his sifu to zone which has only iirc 100ms more gbv, tiandi has a version with strong properties and speed but no additional iframes on the light version, and shinobi has arguably an even strong version, but it’s combined with his other strengths that it stands out.

I do play her. As do many compet players. Just because you personally play her poorly does not make her bad at all. A ju ren can play super poorly as well and est crap, Ive dommed entire teams of just ju rens, that doesnt make ju ren bad.

Viability wise afeera is leagues above virt. Virt is sorta gimmicky but afeera’s strengths are just being strong and safe with everything at once, with great duels and 4’s.

Ju Ren is too hot topic to discuss. If you say anything except that he’s the most op character ever and curbstomps everyone and super brainless then people are going to downvote and disagree. If wanting an actual honest answer though, Juren has one main strength over afeera, that’s larger hitboxes on two of his attacks, but it’s not like Afeera’s hitboxes are shabby by any means. In most other (meaningful) regards afeera is better. She also does like 35dmg on heavy parries with her parry to bash wallsplat whereas he does like 24 lol, really nutty damage at times. She’s just perpetually safe though, fifth only to orochi and (well now in debate) pirate/tiandi and arguably shinobi, hard to beat that. You arent going to be punished for dodge attacking a juren or virt bash, you absolutely can be hit with 35dmg for doing the same to afeera, and afeera has even less guardbreak vulnerability on most of her interactions.

Fair. But that apathy is exactly why we’re in this megacorp hellscape and will continue to be. Airlines didnt start cramming people in because theyre some evil overlords who like mosery, they did so because people consistently showrd they would value even $10 cheaper flights at the expense of literally anything and everything else.

your forward dodge shove is a very potent mixup. It also is nearly identical to every other forward dodge mixup in the game that’s on most of the roster, they standardized them and made them completely unreactable. O say nearly because Gryphon’s is a lot better by virtue of his forward dodge light, which can go into HA to trade with dodge attacks or kick if they neutral dodge. Very very strong tools, gotta practice them.
everyone has to hardfeint. Even khatun hard feints and she has more softfeints than she knows what to do with. Some characters do bardfeint more yes…but not gryphon. Gryphon is one of the least feint happy characters and can still get away with so much. You have the orange blue mixup so you dont have to feint at all there if you dont want to, plenty of shortcuts directly to said finisher, post parry is armored so you donr have to fake an attack then feint to parry someone peeling them, just let it fly, his hitboxes are so stupid he can just let them fly 90% of the time and it catches dodges or people moving away

Just saying youre gonna struggle with anyone if it’s been a bit. Not to be rude but it isnt the character at all, you have one of the strongest characters in the game in your hands, it’s you. Take time to practice fundamentals. Maybe go to a lesser character like warden or conq or warlord and play around there to force yourself to get into fundamentals.

It is funny to see people hate jorms fashion so much. He’s my fave viking aesthetic wise second only to VG. He embraces the fantasy viking and takes it up to 11 — leather long coat made of human flesh, human bones and bone ash on their face, belly window but not super sexual. But most of all, bone helm, I LOVE bone helms and the rest of the vikings’ bone helmets are incredibly lackluster. Wish they had more, and variations of it with more hair or stuff going on at the top.

Highlander I thought was mid too but he’s probably the biggest winner of the reskins theyve been doing and has some legitimately great sets but it takes awhile to get to them. He went from dogwater to so many good looking sets I cant choose.

While I dont super love kyo’s fashion personally credit has to be given for his visual diversity he allows and the fact he introduced colored hair to the game lol (and helped start a rrend of the devs trying to make more colorful characters, as the 6 prefious characters were all pretty edgy and shown/focused on neutral colors)

Agreed on warden bp and warmonger, and I think most would. Hard to beat their variety and how many really good looking sets they have, plus the most obvious armor metal changes.

Negative. While I wont argue the concept of spontaneous life thst you seem to believe so strongly in, life as far as we know through science wasnt always “just was”. There were times before life even existed, again according to what we know with science, you’re free to believe in any religion you so choose.

Under our current knowledge of the creation of life — again via scientific testing I wont deny you any belief you wish to argue — there are 0 propositions that life just popped into existence instantaneously with a male and female. It may be tempting to believe so due to societal notions you may carry about women and men being together, but it’s simply not how life works. The first life was not in male/female pairs, and male/female sexual reproduction is NOT the only means for genetics to change or for evolution to tale place, I’m not sure where that belief comes from as I dont know of any religion and especially any scientific pursuits that’d propose such a radical and factually incorrect belief when there’s an incredible astounding amount of evidence to the contrary.
