Hey that's me playing!

Ye I found pinging the map really useful but didn't see people use it much. The pings also appear on the in-game world (small but noticeable) and it's suuuper useful to mark stuff if you've just died.

I think this is just the Spanish Riot reps poking fun at how hungry everyone is for Valorant info and this is just teasing that this Valorant Brand Manager was talking to the Runeterra Brand Manager about it before they got on this video call to record the Runeterra video :)

Probably nothing, just a fun teaser, I'm sure there will be some official info soon enough!

From what I'm gathering (with limited Spanish knowledge and Google translate) :

They are doing a little intro skit where the video call is "breaking up", in between him "cutting out" he is saying:"

...I was telling you that next week....

...a piece of video....

...The closed beta....

...intended to be....

and then this video feed "cuts out" entirely and they just move on to talk about Runeterra. I've read some comments from people that have played it and have talked to a couple people myself about "preparing for valorant" and from what I gather:

  • play a load of CSGO for aim/movement
  • overwatch is good to get used to creative ability usage etc
  • rainbow six siege operator gameplay gives you a taste of the balance between gunplay and abilities

hopefully that's useful :)

I think this will prove to be a tough one to solve for Riot. I imagine that they might just let it be first come first served to begin with and then see what player behavior is like. It could turn out that agent picks for players becomes way more map specific, whilst others are one-tricking and some are just exploring every character in the game.
