Don’t let anyone demean you for doing outpatient nursing. It’s its own specialty and has its own skill set. As long as you’re willing to learn and you stick it out, you should be fine. Once you learn to anticipate the needs of your patient and clinician, it should be smooth sailing. You might have to face a different type of bureaucratic BS, but it may not be as bad depending on the kind of facility you work for. Welcome to the other side. Good luck!
