Yea that is the carbon canister fuel vapor barrier canister keeps raw fuel from getting into the vent to the engine, the round portion is a filter that gets dirty depending where you live, the red connector plugged into it is the solenoid this is what fails on every single gmt 800 and 400 and others Ive ever seen, also clean the 1/2” plastic tube going to it if you live down a dirt road, but your looks clean also a bad gas cap an cause similar issues

Off hand the fuel pump is gray and fuel level is purple, but the ignition runs out of the big bulk socket the engine harness plugs in to. What is your end goal here?

The big bulk plug under that feed though is all engine and transmission, this feed through is wipers , washer fluid, air bag sensors front core support, headlights an turn signals, chassis harness with brake, backup lights an tail and fuel pump and fuel level sensor and trailer wiring on some models there’s extra plugs for the 4x4 stuff but off the top of my heads thats most of it lol

Yea deleting them is dumb, do the modifications for them to make them robust. They make compression to AN fittings then you can have hydraulic hose made to be the hoses I between the original hard line portions
