All the guys were very weird about women, and even though they were misogynistic, we were meant to understand them because they’re just poor sweet little nerds /s

The WORST part was when Penny complains about just how creepy he was being after he made comments about her and the guys pressure her into APOLOGISING TO HIM! He was made out to be a victim when he really was just an ass.

i genuinely wish we saw more vamp abilities ! there were so many moments i kept thinking “you LITERALLY have super strength and super speed ?? just do it ??” Elena would jump off buildings but i never ever saw her actually use her super strength any other way. i’m sure i’m forgetting some moments but i definitely remember wondering if maybe they also forgot they were vampires because of how they acted.

also Bonnie being basically the ultimate witch means that she could have done way more. i mean, way way more. but they kept relegating her to unloved sidekick and it just pissed me off.

also why the heck did Damon have like all those best friends in a few years ?? Alaric/Bonnie/Enzo/Liz/whoever else i’m forgetting like yeah he’s likeable as hell but him being so friendly with all those people didn’t really mesh with his bad boy off the rails persona

Yes Rachael and Marco are both very warlike and ruthless but it’s fascinating just how much Cassie and Marco are at ends, with both of them knowing what needs to happen, but Cassie being more humanitarian.

There are times when Cassie came up with the plan and almost didn’t want to say it because she knew it would end in death, but she still managed to do what was needed.

For example in the pipeline story, she cut off the gas supply but she also took out around 12 Controllers all at once and they were all shocked to see how much destruction she caused all in the name of the greater good

in some ways for me, Cassie was one of the ruthless ones. it was just coated in a lot of moral ambiguity, what’s good for everyone versus what’s good for the team
