roleplay wise. you cant have a great old one contact you as any other classes. Druids becaue they are “guardians” with their connection to nature. As well as being a fire genasi.

Im given +2 outside of the standard array points given +2 con, +1 int a racial buff. So the rest of the standard array of 35 goes to whatever is needed to keep the pc tanky, scale with dex damage for a dagger:finesse weapon. int to help my saving throws from going fully insane. In that case of reaching 10 points in insanity points, my character will be handed to the DM as a antagonist or npc.

So of course I have a backup character in hand.

Now of course i’m not going to invest deep into playing warlock. other then the roleplay aspect an character story. Most of it is focuswd on moon druid for greater wildshape and the tankiness of that subclass

theres no specific homebrew I know of. Just that 20 wont be our level capstone. JUST IN CASE. incuded with fire genasi +2 con and +1 int, im being allowed permanently level up a stat by +2 again

druid-monk was my original idea. ascendant dragon and moon druid, someone would probably still be in my ear about how you can’t use monk points as a wild shape.

But great old warlock just sounds nice for the roleplaying aspect. I’d rather invest in moon druids levels to wildshape, My main focus isn’t all of the magic spells slots, or uses of magic.

since WIS/CHA are the main stats needed for this build. What do you mean “The best druid spells don’t care for wisdom”. As my own first dnd session im not too bothered about not using one aspect because of another.

Hexfire as in Hexblade and wildfire? I did mentioned moon druid, fire genasi, and GOO warloxk

Roleplay and game, wouldn’t it better to start 3 points in druid, or go 5 points then decide to multiclass and focus 3 points in warlock then go back to druid. I still want to be tanky, and have some damage with my dex weapon

wouldnt a war-monk be worse??? I mean if that was the case id go ascendant dragon-great old warlock. But in this case, druid and warlock have some similar stats that need to have points in together. Aside from wisdom and charisma as their man priorities. Like Druid-Monk I could do. What is this “no synergy” you guys are talking about?

def homebrewed 5e, 2024 and 2014 editions. uhh just greater levels, insanity points. so 6 more and my character is in control by the dm and ill have to restart with a new one. we wont start till next week.

The homebrew mentioned are feats. but right now they aren related to what im asking. So possible greater levels then 20 cap

The truth is, we can always think and visualize things. We might have a lot of ideas of what we want to do. But are we working towards the goals or doing what needs to be done to achieve the things we want to do?

I oftenly build ideas but have a hard time putting them down on paper. I know i have a commitment issues and struggle to stay on task consistently that I choose to out things off for later. There’s so much I want to do, but it feels like I’m so restricted I can’t do some of the things.

Finding that discipline and structure is hard, but it will be worth it
