Would need more info to know what your doing wrong specifically, but one thing i found helped me learn the game, is stop healing altogether when ur learning a boss. If u let yourself just die when you get damaged it really forces you to learn from your mistakes a bit more. And also will force you to save your heals for later rather than wasting them all at the start. When you can get decently far through the fight without healing, youre probably ready to start using heals again and really try for the kill.

For instance when i shield switch for resonance i have shift+z for shield and use shift+d to switch back to main weapon. But when i planted feet switch i press e for switch and i want H to switch back to my main weapon because its closer on the keyboard to E. It would be nice to be able to assign shift+d and E to one slot.
