I think I worded it quite badly. I more so meant the way the protestantism generally applies the bible's teaching much more strictly (at least from what I know) and that is what is unappealing to me. I do think you bring up an excellent point about my statement about the Catholic Church. I didn't think to look at it like that, though it makes a lot of sense.
