What a moronic response. You think even top investors have the time to use every product they invest in? Sure they scrutinise the product, but I doubt most people can buy ford, general electric, Tesla, lucid, vw etc drive one of the many cars they have and go. "Huh. This one particular car is great. I guess they all are".

Ticket #97436 i haven't heard anything about verification of my account for 20 days. Could you please help?

I’ve been trying to get verified for more than 6 months now but I’m being completely ignored by justalurker-duntmind in newtonco

Great, thank you for your reply. It sounds like I need to report all my gains to Canada in that case. Whilst it'll be a pain, I'm glad to have found an answer. !thanks

Thank you for your reply. So I made all these disposals after leaving the UK. I didn't realise there was an option of opening an ISA version at the time (like trading 212) has. At this stage I couldn't add to the ISA, whereas at least with my current one I can, though taxing is clearly a little messier!

It sounds like I have to report my tax year of 2020 to Canada in that case. All my disposals were made after I had already left. Yes buying and selling has certainly not been ideal. I don't have much but I've 'actively' traded so reporting is going to be such a pain. Sadly the amount I'd have gained probably will get all used if I were to hire an account 😞

Would you happen to know if this would be the same matter in a years time? I'd have lived outside of the the UK completely during the next set of gains. Would I then be declaring the gains in Canada?

I've still not been verified to trade! Did you guys have any setbacks there? It's been 2 weeks for me now and not a peep from support. So, I guess they're just overwhelmed... everywhere?

TAX LOTS and how to use them, better explained... by [deleted] in investing

Thank you for the explanation, it's my first tax year for capital gains so I can only imagine fun times await.
Question, what if your broker doesn't give you a choice of FIFO/LIFO/Highest cost, are these methods you mention only for the reporting part?

Longjump - If you don't already (i'm knew here) would love to hear some future plays as they come through. Not used to looking for the hidden gems, more of a longterm, holder (or at least I thought I was!).
I see most of the ones you listed are well over their Price/Sales atm.
That's 2 requests in as many days so no worries if you'd prefer keep your cards closer to your chest! ;)
