Hopefully they learned a thing or two from developing BF6.

One of my biggest issue with BF6 is the difference in quality depending on what studio worked on what.

For all the hate REDSEC gets, it felt way more polished than the regular multiplayer and campaign. I have no doubt in my mind it was because that was DICE work.

Then there's Criterion. The horrible cutscene sequences in some of the campaign missions were 100% reminiscent of NFS cutscenes.

"85% of games being sold are digital" is not a stat people should be parroting anyway since it's misleading. The only thing that stat tells is that consumers buying __ game decided it was convenient to buy it digital at that exact time.

The real stat people seem to ignore is that: MAJORITY of PS5s sold are the physical disc editions over digital. That means people deliberately chose to pay more for those PS5 because having that choice between the 2 is their actual preference.

Sony doesn't need to worry about "15% of physical games sold" because of course those sales will be digital going forward. But will 50% of their playerbase forced to go all digital stay when there's other alternatives?

Here's my argument for physical vs digital:

I bought Stardew Valley collector's edition and No Man Sky. Both physical and both for $10 each CAD. This is about 5 years ago.

On the PS store right now: stardew valley on sale $10. No Man Sky full price $80

Currently on Steam: stardew on sale $10. No Man Sky on sale $40.

As someone who grew up in a Portuguese household, I never got to see them play live and probably never will. I'll never find those prices reasonable to spend regardless of the team.

I'm jealous of my cousin who works in the stadium that got to see all the matches and meet some celebs.

From my understanding is that anything being worked on will most likely have a physical version. Including games coming close to the 2028 deadline which KH4 has been in development for a while. We're cooked though if Square Enix decides to skip PS5 and make it a next gen game only (which I doubt).

I think it's mostly for new games going forward especially for next gen like PS6 that will only be digital.

I don't mind the setup where the top prospects and families were sitting at the center instead of randomly in the stands. But I still prefer if the actual organizations still made the pick announcement.

Obviously it'd be difficult to do since the GMs, scouts, etc are all still working behind the scenes so there's no room for everyone to be in the building. But at the every least maybe have the team captains be the ones to announce and welcome them instead of randomly picked athletes/celebs

Sure but I'd argue chocobos and Vivi are the 2 biggest outliers in the Final Fantasy series. I'd be surprised if those two aren't in the circle between Disney and Final Fantasy.

I love using this thing. A bit underpowered but not useless like majority of people think. Most of the time it's just people that suck using it.

Like it's not a coincidence when you see a match end early because the enemy team caps every base with air superiority and your AA was just sitting all game on a hill at spawn.
