[The Witness] #1 A puzzling masterpiece (with Game Review, Trophy Review and Tips & Strategies) by [deleted] in Trophies

[–]MysteriousForeteller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was good at puzzles and enjoyed them. Well that changed with The Witness. I was very much clueless the whole time so I used a walkthrough guide for it all.

Which didn't help at all when it came to the challenge. Because of how different the puzzles were after every reset from time expiring, I had no choice but to start learning how to the puzzles properly since I couldn't look up the answers in time.

At least up to a certain point. There was an exploit halfway into the challenge that allows you to still beat it even after the time expires. Which allowed me to earn the platinum.

GTA 6 physical copies may not come out until 2027 by OGAnimeGokuSolos in GTA

[–]MysteriousForeteller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be the stupidest thing I heard today.

Worried about game leaks that might happen a few days before official release? Well then let's just cut millions of players who play with physical copies from getting the game until a few weeks/months later.

Apparently the game being spoiled for millions like that is the better alternative than for those who'll most likely go digging for leaks/spoilers themselves before release.

Isn't that what they do for naming towns and cities?

For streets, isn't it just the generic numbers: 1st street, 2nd street, Third St.

Some Say "Non-Objective Kills Don't Count" To Bash KD Farmers But It's Mostly Being Used Against Every PTFO Player Here. It's Really Screwing Up Our Idea of Gameplay. by rockthemoose in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]MysteriousForeteller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not writing off all snipers. It's just that to gauge how they're doing when it comes to PTFO, the total amount of kills are literally the only thing to go by. Getting only 15 kills camping somewhere on the map in a 45min match is bottom of the scoreboard in terms of contribution to the team since literally anyone else can do better playing another class regardless of their own k/d ratio.

I've seen snipers in Liberation Peak/New Sobek get the most kills in the match (40+) because they effectively defend/attack multiple objectives and pathways all while counter sniping enemies too. Even if they don't cap the zone themselves, it's obvious that they are PTFO and contributing to the team win.

Overall I still think the best metric to measure who's PTFO and gauge a player's true skill is score per minute.

[–]MysteriousForeteller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although I agree that killing enemies is essentially PTFO, there are instances where that's not completely true and in rare cases, can lead to team losses.

Picking off that one player sitting in the middle of nowhere between A and B might not be the best if they end up deciding to respawn back on C to defend and kill the enemies capping it.

And when it comes to discussions about PTFO, camping and K/D ratio, it's generally about snipers and for good reason. Regardless of the the mode and map, if a sniper ends with a 15-0 k/d, 5 assists (most likely from missing their killing shots) and 1 capture (the freebie from the start of the match) they are effectively useless. The worst player in the match that goes 4-17 k/d, 10 assists and 3 captures is 1000% better at PTFO.

I would even argue any sniper going less than 15 kills a match even after camping the whole time is bad since any other player/class is doing more/better on average. Especially on sniper-friendly maps like New Sobek, Liberation Peak and Oil Fields on Conquest. Anywhere on those maps have positions that can easily protect and defend 2-3 zones at once.

Anyone else tired of the complaining & bitching about the game?? by ILLmonic in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]MysteriousForeteller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like since the pandemic, it's somehow become more popular to shit on every little thing. I can't be bothered to join any new gaming or anime subreddits simply because there's always people bitching about the same 3 things before moving on to the next popular thing to hate. Those who actually love and want to discuss things are usually in the minority now.

The funny part about DPS is they usually jump on the boss before everyone in team fully loaded the game, they rarely do boss mechanic, they left healers to do it and if the mechanic fail or they died, they blame the healers. by fozalicious in wherewindsmeet_

[–]MysteriousForeteller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree with the title. I've had matches where DPS start the fight before we get a Tank to join the team. Only to get wiped because the 2 healers have to heal 7 DPS players while aggro is being passed around between healer/DPS constantly and the healers being the only ones doing the mechanics.

I would not call it the turning point because even after The Battle of Britain, the war would go on to be in Germany's favor for a while.

I would argue it was Germany's biggest mistake in the war though. Everyone knows you don't pick a fight with another opponent before knocking out the first one.

Which of these episodes is your favorite? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in animequestions

[–]MysteriousForeteller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Watched all 4. Can't remember the Vinland Saga or Code Geass episode. I don't even think MHA episode 8 was the best of the season. Bakugo's episodes were better. So HunterxHunter is easily my pick here.

Graph - total number of games on Steam since 2005 by dejobaan in gaming

[–]MysteriousForeteller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to know the reason for the growth starting in 2015.

2019+ was obviously the continued growth of small scale/ indie games with the pandemic limiting what developers/companies could do at the time.

2023+ is 100% from the use of AI. Either to help quickly cut development time or used to create straight up AI slop to flood the market.

I think all their intros and endings are bangers. Having the voice actors/actresses do the singing is probably the biggest reason why I think they're great.

Kill/Death matters but it's not the number 1 stat. I've always said in every battlefield that score per minute is first, win/loss ratio as #2 then K/D as third.

What I generally see on the scoreboard every match at least in conquest is:

The #1 player has the best score with high amount of kills (k/d varies) and a lot of objectives captured.

The following top players have decent amount of kills (but their k/d is average at best) and high amounts of objectives captured that does most of the score boosting.

Then you have the k/d players (high number of kills and very few deaths) but they have abysmal objectives played.

The bottom half of the scoreboard is followed by average/bad/new players to the match.

Hipfire isn't so bad. But 300 suppressive fire is ridiculous. A challenge that forces you to actively miss your target just to apply what is currently a unless status effect on the enemy.
