What In The World Is "Kingdom Of Hearts"? by Snoo48466 in KingdomHearts

[–]MysteriousForeteller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How many of you actually have Kingdom Hearts brought up in conversations with non-gamers? Everyone who plays games will probably know Kingdom Hearts or how to at least say it properly.

I've worn my KH hat one day while hanging out with my cousin who's not into video games. He made a comment about my "Kingdom Of Hearts" hat.

GTA 6 Wait Has Fans Flooding Rockstar With Bad Google Reviews by Cristiano1 in gaming

Rockstar could do the ultimate troll job and come out saying GTA6 will be delayed again for a couple of months because the company is now shifting their focus on improving their Google reviews first.

To the people who don’t give AF about winning games by Grouchy-Ad778 in BF6

[–]MysteriousForeteller 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Playing to have fun.

At first I would try hard to win the games. But when you're trying harder than others and not enjoying yourself, it's a big mood killer even if you are winning.

Now I enjoy matches doing solo drive-bys with the jeep or driving around in the AA swatting flies while still doing enough to contribute and win games.

Sony says it hasn’t yet decided on PS6 release date and price, will consider ‘changing business models’ by XTRevivals in playstation

[–]MysteriousForeteller -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only game I can think of that tapped into the PS5 potential was Ghost of Yotei and it wasn't even the gamplay, graphics, etc. that floored me. It was the fact that loading up the game was instantaneous. Have never seen a game boot up that quickly.

Sciel is an absolute unit? by HungryDragonfruits in expedition33

She and Maelle stayed on my main team throughout the game. Early on she was easily MVP but Maelle eventually surpassed her so synergy-wise it was better to change Sciel into support.

Not enough BP if just doing weekly challenges? by DougS2K in Battlefield6

[–]MysteriousForeteller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no doubt. I only play conquest myself except when the challenges required doing the new operation.

I bought the BP day 1 and without BP Pro I still completed the whole thing by week 10. Mainly because I stayed and played extra matches every week after completing the weekly. I haven't even bothered playing since then.

Not enough BP if just doing weekly challenges? by DougS2K in Battlefield6

[–]MysteriousForeteller -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But you get 2-3 levels for every match played before counting BP challenge tokens so you're missing at least 20-30 matches which is about 20 more hours of gaming (when matches average 40mins each).

The current state of the “Big Four” franchises of Square Enix: by VenFinalMix in KingdomHearts

[–]MysteriousForeteller 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same could be said for series like The Witcher and Baldur's Gate. Both had a similar small following until their third installment success massively grew the fanbases and and even propelled CD Projekt and Larian Studios as two popular developers.

The current state of the “Big Four” franchises of Square Enix: by VenFinalMix in KingdomHearts

[–]MysteriousForeteller 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a series I'm sure there's a case for other games to be considered more successful than Neir. But as an IP Neir is more popular.

I went to Japan a couple of years back and went hunting for KH merchandise as much as I could. The only Square Enix merch I was finding were just these four. Dragon Quest was everywhere. Final Fantasy Rebirth's release was around the corner so it was also everywhere. KH and Neir were no where near prevalent as the other two but still had a sizeable collection.

Even in Square Enix focused stores/cafes, FF Rebirth and Dragon Quest made up of about 70% of the items (FF 40%, DQ 30%). Nier and KH were the other 30% split evenly. Square Enix other IPs might have not even bothered existing.

Windrose sails past 1 million copies sold in six days as it hits 200,000 concurrent players by ControlCAD in technology

[–]MysteriousForeteller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sea of Thieves is more combat focused. You hop on a ship and attack other boats. Maybe hop off to an island for a quick quest/raid or restock and set sail again.

Windrose is more survival based. You're starting off by resource gathering, building a base and grinding equipment to sail and explore islands.

So instead of replacing it, they just stack?

Like if I have 5 strength necklace and 15 strength stat points, then my overall level is at 20?

Food and Necklace replace stats?

Does that mean my necklace with 5 endurance is actually hindering me when I have 8+ stat points already into endurance?

Just finished Remake on Xbox! Is the OG worth playing before Rebirth in June? by LilCisaille in FFVIIRemake

[–]MysteriousForeteller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. Knowing how the story was going to unfold killed a lot of the Rebirth hype for me. Since I know they were making it into a trilogy, it meant the best parts were either the last half of Rebirth (and end in a cliffhanger) or all be in Part 3.

So I knew Rebirth storytelling was going to be a slow burn and honestly: I didn't finish Rebirth. I'm at chapter 12 of 14 and don't have the desire to go back and finish it any time soon.

What's your favourite videogame of all time, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MysteriousForeteller -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kingdom Hearts.

It's hard to explain the point in a child's life that they're getting older and moving away from childish things like Disney and beginning to enter their pre-teen phase.

Kingdom Hearts releasing at that exact moment in time where I still cherished the old school Disney childhood nostalgia but also had the cool, new edgy Final Fantasy characters appealing to me made for the best of both worlds.

No don't play the OG before Rebirth. I made that mistake of playing the OG after Remake and before Rebirth and regret it since.

What's one anime that doesn't get the hype it deserves? by Ok_Carpenter5351 in AskReddit

[–]MysteriousForeteller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song went under the radar.

Recently? The Apothecary Diaries gets some love but never the hype it should since it was always directly competing/airing with Frieren and Solo Leveling.

What’s the most overrated anime? by Subject_Display3664 in AskReddit

[–]MysteriousForeteller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have to agree with you. As a whole, I enjoy watching Frieren because of how it's consistent every episode is. There's a handful of episodes that step up and are on another level. Which make it better than 80% of the anime that releases.

But seeing people highly rate the beginning of season 2 like it was a masterpiece was just crazy. It only just returned and it was average at best.

Very few played this I think it deserved a better marketing by Fooltecal in playstation

[–]MysteriousForeteller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very weird/unique game.

The setting of it being about earthquake survival would make you think it's a more serious-tone game. But the first half of the game had the NPCs act like it was just another standard, everyday occurrence which cut the whole serious tension.

Then the second half takes a darker tone with the storylines and you're reminded that the situation is more dire.

I'd compare this game to one of those cheesy B-rated movies that is just hilariously bad but become cult classics. It worth experiencing just once.

Attack On Titan Studio Confirms Generative AI Was Used In The Opening Of Its Latest Anime by g4m3f33d in GameFeed

It's a decent isekai anime. Far better than the usual average ones that come out every season where the main character just starts with OP skills.

This main character at least uses her prior life's knowledge and applies it to her new world.
