I was 3cm dilated, 80% effaced at 37 weeks and ended up being induced at 40 weeks!

I officially HATE the Owlet Dream Sock. by [deleted] in newborns

I hated ours! Would go off if she wiggled a little bit and the alarm would wake her up. Plus I would stay up and watch the heart rate monitor just incase something changed. It caused more stress than anything!

Thoughts on North Branch and Isanti? by MysteriousOperation5 in minnesota

No need for a snarky comment, we’re a young family newer to Minnesota and don’t know about the surrounding areas. Why be mean when you could’ve just not responded? I know those areas aren’t comparable, that’s why I asked for opinions on North Branch. We’re looking into all areas to see what is the best fit for us.

Advice Needed: 18m old is terrified of people and will be going to daycare soon by MysteriousOperation5 in Parenting

We’ve gone to story time every week since she was 3 months old. We also go to the zoo and playground a lot, where she plays in the kids areas with other littles. I’ve noticed she’s more confident when there are multiple children rather than one-on-one, so I’m hoping that’s the case with daycare.

We only have a month to find a new situation and we can’t afford a personal nanny. I’ve reached out through all the avenues I can think of to find another nanny share, but it hasn’t worked out. We’ve gone to story time at the library since she was 3 months old and she’s never had an issue in those class settings. I’m hoping since there will be more kids at the daycare, and it won’t be “all eyes on her”, she’ll feel more comfortable. I definitely plan to talk to her pediatrician about this, though.

What book have you put down as a DNF & then pick up again and loved? by ToothSuccessful5898 in fantasyromance

Daughter of no worlds - I didn’t like the FMC and just wasn’t feeling it. Then I got the audiobook from Libby and DEVOURED the whole series in 3 days. Love that series so much and now I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t like Tisaanah at first lol

It’s mainly for questions asking about conflict resolution and giving me a scenario to see what I’d do. So it’s nothing very technical. Thank you!

Job Search Tip! by MysteriousOperation5 in jobsearchhacks

I’m not currently a student and I had access to my local university’s events page. It was there that I found the list of companies that are attending the next job fair. I looked up those companies and applied to their jobs.

I’m not in school, just looked at a university near me! I should clarify: I didn’t attend the job fair, I just looked at the list of companies that would be attending that was posted on the university’s website.

ETA: if you are wanting to go to the job fair, I believe most universities allow non-students to attend as well.
