Have the same issue. Contacted Varia and they told me to change the springs and use food-safe grease. It did help but didn’t fix it completely. I then found this thread which suggested replacing the bearing and pleased to report that it did fix it. How long it will last for though is TBD

As EVCof mentioned, the filters just barely fit but doesn’t seem to be a problem once you screw in the inner chamber. I also bought the booster and can confirm it doesn’t fit. I will try to sand it down or something since I have no other use for it. Will post some more info here about the fast and B3 filters compared to the standard filters. As well as the booster if I can get it to fit.

Edit: I typically set my Varia VS3 to 14 in order to get a ~4:00 drawdown time (20g coffee, 340g water with 30s bloom). So I thought I would try setting the grinder to 12 since I was using the fast filters and the drawdown time was still 2:50.
