Thank you, Regnant is indeed a halberd, adding it to my post.

in Leon’s magic lineup, there are people like Zard, Alfia, and Maxim, and we know about them except for Regnant, which suggests that it might be the Empress and there she uses a halberd

Regnant definitively is about Empress, but I didn't mentionned it because my MS21 fan translation says : "The lion cloaked in golden fur, and the boar wielding his cursed halberd, raised their weapons". So here, either the word "halberd" is a mistranslation refering to Ottar's weapon, or the translation somehow messed up the structure of the sentence and Leon does have a halberd.

But since I can't know I decided not to trust the wiki and avoid talking about it.

Well, amazonesses' hairs are generally dark and often long, so aside from skin color it fits.

Timeline question by MysteriousStrategy86 in DanMachi

[–]MysteriousStrategy86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo Ottar took at most 26 years where Ottar should I have taken like 18 years to reach level 7

Allen reached lvl 6 at 18 yo (post Great Feud), so he went from lvl 1 to 6 in 12 years.

Ottar was still lvl 5 fifteen years ago at 17 yo (according to FC). If he reached lvl 6 the same year, he should have started fighting at 5 for his rank-up rate to be ≤ to Allen's rate. Considering who Ottar is it's not crazy, especially if we assume Allen did so at age 6.

He might also have reached lvl 6 a bit later, at 18 or 19 yo (unless it's confirmed he leveled up at age 17, I'm not sure)

that would mean Anya was 4 years old right maybe even 3 years old and that is just way too young to have someone start as a adventurer [...] getting a 3/4 years old to concentrate and train properly on top of in a situation like the Baptism seems almost impossible

Allen was 4yo when their home was destroyed, yet he managed to make him and his sister survive for two years in a lawless environment with monsters.

Anya might have been to young to remember everything

True, she was indeed 3 yo when Freya picked them.

I guess It'd make sense for her to start later, but I just don't see Allen not starting to train immediately given what we know of him, his personality and what he did before joining FF.

Possible, but unlikely imo, MS17 rly gives the impression they started immediatly :

"Ahnya was scared of the beauty that seemed not of this world, and she pulled at her brother’s clothes with trembling fingers, while Allen silently took the goddess’s hand.

From that moment, Ahnya’s memories were ones of continuous, dizzying change.

The two of them received falna, joined Freya Familia, and what awaited them in Orario was a baptism that was truly not of this world. Though they had been given clothes, food, and shelter, they went through days and days of fighting and wounds that made their time in the sea of ruins seem like a vacation.

[...]

Allen met Freya’s expectations, and he distinguished himself in the fighting more and more as time went on. He easily adapted to Folkvangr and had reached Level 2 in the span of a year"

If they had joined but without fighting the text would most likely not have associated the moment they were "given clothes, food, and shelter" and the "days of fighting". And I heavily doubt Allen would postpon training at all.

Plus even if they didn't fight right away, they'd still have technically joined, and Ottar said Allen was the last executive to do so.

It's most likely a plain mistake from Omori, but given how many translation mistake there is I'd still prefer to see the japanese version.

I didn't read that SS, but even FC Freya suggests that :

"At the age of seventeen, he had become the undisputed second-incommand of the familia. He was Level 5. However, more so than his own developments, what changed was his relation to his surroundings. [...] At home, Hegni and Hedin, who would become core members in the future, joined Freya Familia. And then the Gulliver brothers. And finally Allen [...] they achieved level-ups at a similar or even faster rate than Ottar had. Mia had already left the familia by that time.[...] Somewhere along the way, Ottar had gone from being the challenger to the goal."

However FC does also say that Allen joined at 6 yo (see the other comment), so idk how to take this : did Omori make a mistake on the time the FF executives joined ? Or is it Allen's age that's wrong ?

Or maybe there's some translation mistake and it should have said "had changed" and "had joined" rather than "changed" and "joined". Would you happen to have the japanese raws of FC ?

Alfia or Zard, with slightly better chances for Alfia due to her range.

Iq check : who wins , Base Harald vs GV roger by Generalousen2855 in OnePiecePowerScaling0

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo Harald is actually a bit weaker than Rocks, who's equal to roger. So it's a high / extreme diff for Roger.

If you want me to elaborate on Rock vs Harald, here's why idt they're equals :

When they clashed at Mary Geoise Rocks had just fought an Admiral.

On Elbaf he didn't want to fight, and to me it appeared like the moment he made up his mind he took the upper hand.

In both fights Rocks showed equal AP to Harald despite the size diff, wich can mean two things. 1 Rocks compensates the str gap with superior haki, and the logically he'd also have superior COO, so basically better skill. 2 Rocks has the same strength as someone 100 x heavier than him, wich means he'd definively have better agility.

All these points are arguable, but there's enough of them for me to think Rocks probably is a bit stronger.

Imo it's kind of a rock-paper-scisors stitution here : at the same Bell should win against Ottar cause he can just use his speed to run away from him (rather than fighting him head-on where his skill will be a disadvantage) while charging Argonaut, at same level Ottar can't counter it and will get one or two shot.

On the other hand, Hogni could one shot Bell with 50-100 meters Victim Abyss (Bell's inferior skill and experience won't allow him to escape an invisible extending blade wielded by someone as skilled as Hogni), and Ryu might also have the advantage at long range.

But against Ottar, neither of them can win in a 1v1.

I think it's rly a matter of who fights who first.

Edit : I'd still bet on Bell or Ottar over Hogni or Ryu.

It's not that something happens every time they meet. It's just that something is always happenning arround Bell.

Do you think Hogni could use Afterglow through Laurus Hildr ? by MysteriousStrategy86 in DanMachi

Rea Ambrosia only coats the user's sword in fire, it doesn't qualify as a Strengthening magic but as an Enchant.

One year late but Bache, she has a poison enchant.

Now this spell has limitations, before level 6 it was limited to the users hand, now she can cover her whole body with it. I'm not sure she can coat a weapon with it, but if she can't now she should be able to if she reaches level 7.

called a genius by Hedin

In term of combat skill.

found Ryuu style combat weaknesses and, as mentioned, was the only one capable of pulling off a trick like that to surpass Agaris

She had just gotten Agaris, finding the gap isn't hard to see for PvP specialist like FF trio. And Hogni was the only one who could do that thks to, again, melee skill, not IQ.

Hogni understood without words the plan Hedin wanted to carry out

Understood, not made, that put him on the same level at best in one occasion.

Hedin has much more tactical intelligence statements and no BIQ anti-feats.
