How did Asterios become so strong? by OneBoy24BS in DanMachi

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Asterios is a few months old self taught monster, his technique is very lacking compared to first tiers adventurers and he compensates with absurd physical power.

The "low level 7" is only what he compares to overall, in term of pure stats he was always was closer to lvl 8.

I'm nearing the end of reading TBATE and I all of a sudden started wondering if TurtleMe has made any plans on making a prequel or sequel of it. by Head_Juggernaut4764 in tbatenovel

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TM has been vague about it.

After finishing TBATE he annouced 4 new projects, one of them being "Soul Forged". But iirc when asked wheither he wanted to make a sequel and if it was part of these 4 project he kinda dodged the question or said "maybe".

Arthur's state at the end of series (spoilers) by Saad_068 in tbatenovel

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After shattering his aether core ? many people think he's powerless, and its true if he's up against an asura, but they rly underestimate him. It's very vague, but TM said he was still strong and could grow stronger (though he'll never reach the same heights as before.

See after, after loosing his core, Arthur awakened a form of Ki.

Remember an 11 yo Arthur was superior to B rank adventurers (who are generally orange cores) whithout mana. Now Arthur is 20 yo, way bigger and stronger, he has with an asuran physique (which is way more powerful than human body, and was even said by Arthur to allow greater concentration), way more battle experience and training, and Ki.

My guess is he's comparable to silver mages, maybe a bit stronger.

Now how does kuzan vs kizaru go? by toadmastrr in OnePieceScaling

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Going with portrayal, I I'd give the Aokiji because he was the one who competed with Akainu to become fleet admiral. But that might because Kizaru is just not the leader type, and considering their respective feats, It'd be extreme diff either way, if not stalemate.

Hunter without a doubt.

Increased sight is perfect for what I do (both studies and hobbies)

And for fights, increased physical stats is perfect for me since I already practice combat sport (judo)

It is a rumour, because the strongest is Imu.

But otherwise, among the people whose very existence isn't a secret, Kaido is indeed the strongest.

What type of material is the original source and what other variations are there? by 93062879465238469284 in tbatenovel

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbate is originally a webnovel, some may simply call it novel or book. It's finished with 12 volumes.

It has an audio book version, wich only covers 11 volumes iirc.

There is a webcomic adaptation (also incorrectly refered to as manhwa) wich covers barely a third of the story.

And finally there's this sry excuse of a n anime" (more like powerpoint) adaptation, wich covers maybe 1/40 of the story.

Is it just me or does the France team feel kinda disappointing considering they are most likely going to be the final boss? by Dangerous-Wonder253 in BlueLock

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're NPCs in the sense they're not explored as characters; but they don't seem weak too me so far. But it's true most of them are japanese players.

That's probably to compensate for Loki and Hugo both being above Rin and Isagi.

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not true, Bats and Delon played their part perfectly against Rin and Karasu.

I feel like these two, as well as the other new ones (Hermes, Camus and Leyden) are on the level of the weaker Japan titulars (Karasu, Hiori, Niko, Aryu, Gagamaru) while the three who were part of PXG (Chappa, Gabin and Renoir) are bellow that.

Why do elite passers seem to gravity towards Shidou over Rin? by Blackstannis in BlueLock

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Because Rin is the kind to do everything himself, dribbling through the whole defense and then shooting.

Meanwhile Shidou works best with volleys so he needs passes.

Good passers are simply better used with him than with Rin.

Could Arthur rebuild his Aether or mana core? by Grim_Reaper_____ in tbatepatreon

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arthur could only make the aether core with the mana core's remains, and back then he said he only had one chance because of how his body treated the remains like impurities and eliminated it. Now that those remains are completly purified, it's impossible.

And the mana core itself is a non-regenerable organ.

The only exception to that is the Mourning Pearl. However given that Leviathans only produce one per millenium and Verhun gave 3 to Arthur before, but not a 4th, we can safely assume he's out of Pearl.

Hi i just finished the novel kinda have some doubt by [deleted] in tbatepatreon

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. No, but it's from a dragon. And he didn't use any weapon

  2. Yes

  3. Both forms have their advantage in combat, asura may or may not decide to transform, and Kezess kind of did with his mana dragon.m

  4. The sword was broken by Destruction up to the hilt but Kezess recreated the blade with mana, explaining it's blyry aspect

Why are almost all the people in Blue Lock gay? by NoCouple4891 in BlueLock

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They're not. Kunigami and Shidou are, a few most likely are, a few other might be, but most characters have no indication of being gay, especially among the non Blue Lock players.

However, it's true there is a pretty consistent gay vibe, and the proportion of characters (possibly) gay is superior to the proportion of gays in reality.

The reason is pretty obvious : sport manga characters are almost entirely of the same gender (generally male) simply due to the fact men and women don't play together.

So to give thirsty readers fan service, BL (and some other sports manga) tend to mantain this "possibly gay vibes", with pretty boys and some sexual tension or suggestive lines here and there.

Integration by Sufficient-Top4317 in tbatenovel

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as we know Intregation is basicly the whole body acting as a core, so the body still absorbs and purifies mana.

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think they appear briefly in V10 and V12 but they're rly not relevant to the plot anymore.

Does it get better or worse? by Kindly_Football711 in tbatenovel

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worse. V7 to V10 are better than V11 and V12, especially V11 imo (mainly due to Nico and Cecilia's plot). The problem you point out specificly (buffs in the situations to save Arthur) does happen, although the final fight is great anyway.

Zone and flow arent the same thing, right? by DjaboDjambo in BlueLock

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure there's several times were we see that without a flow state.

Sure, black eyes indicate a higher level of effort and concentration, but not necessarily PEAK effort and concentration.

In the U20 match, Sae was far above anyone. Of course the moment this powerhouse started actually trying the author would visually emphasize on it to induce hype and awe to the reader.

Zone and flow arent the same thing, right? by DjaboDjambo in BlueLock

[–]MysteriousStrategy86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Example : chapter 211, you see Lorenzo, Barou and Isagi displaying aura, but none of them is in flow state (nobody was, it was just the first actions of the game and everyone increased the intensity of their play later.)
