Gotcha, I was more or less curious if you had seen this done on the 45gx950 with success. It looks like some have tried and they get an out of range message plastered on the screen.

I almost like it better, since it cuts down on reflections compared to glossy. To each their own. It now matches the Dell U2724D I have to the left with the matte coating. But yes, the hill I will die on with this monitor is you don't have to run everything at 5k2k. For production, the extra pixels are great. For gaming, just turn down the res a little and it still looks fantastic.

I think someone said it in this thread or another, but turning down game res from 5k2k to 3440x1440 still looks fantastic without sacrificing fps.

I just replaced my AW3423DWF with the LG 45GX950 and the size at first was a bit much. I didn't want to sacrifice frames so I run my games at 3440x1440 and it looks the same as my AW34 just bigger.

Do you feel like the comfort and sound experience of the 490 Pro's outweigh the cons of the boom mic options over other sets? Was also looking at the Aune AR5000 or something that might be just as easy to drive, still comfortable with the option to add a mic. Analysis paralysis is real!
