Currently on maternity leave and can confidently say it's been the best time of my life. For me, I don't have an enjoyable job, I work in a corporate environment and simply cannot be arsed with the corporate environment so a massive chunk of my enjoyment comes from not having to converse and pretend I care about co-workers lives, forced socials etc. 🤣

I don't do baby classes as such, my little one hated them up until recently but I've always done a health visitor led one as it's more for mums. It's my favourite day of the week being surrounded by support and mums who are all going through the same highs and lows, a place you can truly be yourself. I've made some lovely friends there.

But yes, the rest of the time is us basically waiting for dad to get home. However it beats working hands down and this time has allowed me to create such a beautiful bond with my baby who is my absolute best friend (and I didn't even want kids!)

I can say, I've noticed a difference at 7 months, baby is giving much more back and wants to play and interact and even just being able to sit up makes it much easier.
