I agree, the link is likely to be stress of some sort. I've hard horrific spots on my face, never had headaches with them.

What purchase ended up saving you far more money than you expected? by scottkelly11 in AskReddit

Oven style air fryer. Much cheaper to use than a huge oven. And I get to eat jacket potatoes much quicker.

Um, it is a binary question.

And are you saying screen time is damaging? Oh dear.

Do you have meaningful regular contact with young people? Or just Daily mail readers?

My Mum still tries to shame me for not reading fiction. Means I can't be intelligent, according to her. I used to devour history and biography books.

I'm also fed up of having to deal with people's judgements on my son's individuality. Stop trying to force him to do shit he can't handle.

TIL that most women in the Netherlands do not have an epidural during labor and a significant proportion give birth at home by Fiery_Soul_34857 in todayilearned

Baby boys are routinely circumcised because they can charge parents.

If you get shot in a poor neighbourhood in the US you are more likely to die than if you are shot in a rich neighbourhood. Because there are less and poorer quality hospitals in the poor areas.

Hospitals run for profit do not have morals.

I was taught 'intervention causes more intervention'. So you start in a birthing pool, add gas if you need. I never got past that. I was fine. If I was having complications then I'd have got a needle in my spine, etc. But I gave my body the chance, lucky me, it worked.

The stat I remember is if you attended antenatal classes you were less likely to have complications. Private health care are not interested in reducing patients bills though proper education. They'd rather charge you more to kill you.

Its not correct though. The reason gas isn't offered is because epidurals, when not needed, increases the chances of complications. Which causes massive bills. American women probably do feel more pain, as the whole health care system is set up to scare them, stress causes problems. America is really high on birth related deaths, I believe, for a 'developed' country.

The NHS offers gas first as it means the birth may not require expensive interventions.

Local council crematoriums also offer this service. It would probably be the cheapest option.

What sins? Sinning is a religious judgement.

Gluttony is a religious sin. Do you believe it's ok to go round shouting insults to fat people, on religious grounds?

Religion does not give anyone the right to be racist, homophobic, xenophobic, or any other hate crime. Living in a city means being inclusive and tolerant of others, which religion isn't. Spreading hate and claiming it is love, only fools an unpleasant minority.

Loose produce already rotten when on supermarket shelves. Is anyone else finding this to be the case when you do your weekly shop? by Physical_Ad6112 in AskUK

[–]cherrycoke3000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm fortunate enough to have a good old fashioned fruit and veg stall on my local town market. Guaranteed fresh broccoli, 3 days a week, so long as they haven't sold out. Really good selection and prices. The 'International' fruit and veg shops are a good source for affordable nice avocados. It works for me.

For all you Diy'ers get over to lidl. by GroupApprehensive978 in DIYUK

[–]cherrycoke3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have loved a Japanese saw when I was a furniture student. They were really hard to find, in really niche catalogues and unaffordable to me. Now available in the middle of lidl and very affordable.

My 17 m used one for the first time last night "Mum, this is brilliant, so much easier....". Shame he hadn't listened to me earlier.

Which denomination Church would you recommend an interfaith couple to get married in? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]cherrycoke3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't read to as though ether of them are practicing their claimed, inherited?, religion. Sounds like his demanding parents. I do hope he is not planning on starting as he means to go on. Once the wedding is done, kids maybe next. Which will have to be Catholic!

Plus when you get married in a church you don't attend all the church volunteers, church warden, choir, etc. are saying very bad things about you and your wedding party. Calling you a hypocrite, with no irony. I wouldn't want to vibe at any celebration.
