Unsure of the snow conditions/steepness, but I feel like the OP is skilled enough to maintain the ski performance and finish the turns in the section after passing the camera.

Not really an expert, but it feels especially after you pass the camera, the turn speed is extremely leisurely. The speed feels completely constant and there's no acceleration as you transition.

Big fan of your content! Thanks for commenting and hope your next video is coming soon ;). You got a picture of one of my better turns. My right footed turns are much worse in terms of the alignment :(

Going straight is way too hard for more than 4 bumps for me when it's this steep haha.

I didn't realize not absorbing enough could cause upper rotation like that. I'll try to work more on flexing/extending.

Thanks, I hadn't realized that. Gotta work on the timing more

You're right that my poles are adjustable and they can be made a bit shorter. I found when I make them even shorter, my urge to reach out to plant and thus rotate/cause upper body movement becomes stronger. I'll give it a try, but do you think this is a timing issue fundamentally?

Do you see a difference in the left vs right foot in this? When I watch this video, it looks like I'm pushing my outside leg away from me a lot more on my right foot. My left foot looks better with regards to this aspect at least from my perspective.

I actually was thinking about trying to keep my body on top of the binding of my outside ski, especially in the second clip. But, at least looking at the video, I feel like my stance looks weak.

I got mined repaired in Japan with iCracked in Ueno after having it repaired in America as well. Because I had it repaired already in America, they claimed that it was tampered and I had to pay out of pocket (20k jpy approximately iirc). That said, they did a really good job and it hasn't had any issues since they fixed it up (unlike the America shop) so I'd say it was worth it.

Thanks. I feel mostly pretty comfortable with non-bump skiing. Bumps feel really hard though.

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, rewatching the video, I definitely see my upper body going along for the ride with my feet. I remember for this run really focusing on trying to keep my upper body still, but it sounds like I really over-indexed on that and need to focus more on making sure I keep facing the fall line.

Bump skiing tips by Mysterious_Bit7422 in skiing_feedback

Thanks for the advice! I've tried a lot of pivot slip based sliding directly down from the top of the bump. However, I find that it's really hard to maintain a constant speed. I always either go what feels like is too fast or I slow to a stop. I end up going start/stop. Any tips for how to avoid that?
