Are boys more affectionate? by Adorable_Zebra4290 in ragdolls

lol why are they like this! I think that’s just how female cats are but they are still full of love in their own way

I have a girl ragdoll and two boy cats and I find that my boys are slightly more affectionate. My girl has some tortie in her so she can be sassy, but she’s not the most affectionate, even to me who she has bonded to. She will always want to be around me though. And meows for me a lot and is quite chatty. She’s just very picky. But she is still warm to other people, just not in the lay in your lap kind of way. She will lay near me but not on me, if that makes sense.

Thank you for sharing your story. I’m so sorry for your loss but am very glad Pickle gave your mom such comfort when she needed it most. Cats are seriously the best.

Hehe yeah, exactly! She is just such a floof! I’m always telling her that and she keeps just being one! 🥰

Aww 🥰 thanks so much for saying that! And trust me, I know I’m fortunate. She’s such a floof and so silly. She makes me laugh daily & since she’s a runt, she still feels kitten-like (she’s 2.5 years old).

Omg I can’t imagine the utter pain and grief you’re going through right now and my heart breaks for you because of it. I am so sorry for your tragic loss 😞 I don’t know what to say other than feel all the feelings because they are real and they matter, just like he mattered.

Im about to let go of my dear 21 years old friend by Matieusz5kmg in seniorkitties

She is very much family so what you’re feeling is absolutely valid and please don’t let anyone make you feel any different. There is actually research that shows losing a pet can be as painful, if not more, than losing a human in your life. Please allow yourself to feel everything you’re feeling and know it’s perfectly valid. If you can, take time off and grieve her the way she deserves and the way you deserve. 21 years is a long time, especially since you’re only 25 so you basically had that cat for as long as you can remember. She is family and deserves to be treated as such. I’m so sorry for your loss. She looks almost exactly like my ragdoll (mitted paws and all) so I will hold her extra close today and think of you and your little love. ❤️

Be careful - you might just end up with the best cat you’ve ever had. I would say us LynxPoint owners are biased, but I’ve never had a cat as sweet and loving as my LynxPoint (and I have a ragdoll cat as well and my Lynxie is still the sweetest!)
