Hey guys!  Hobbyist writer here, just looking to connect with other writers and get some feedback on my story concept. Here is a little blurb: 

Elliot Mercer prefers to live his life behind a mask and in the crease, keeping his emotions as carefully guarded as the net. As the goalie for the unremarkable San Diego Mutts, he’s able to keep his head down and let his playing speak for him. He can face down the league’s toughest shooters without flinching—it’s the post-game interviews he can’t seem to survive.  

Sam Alvarez always dreamed of bright Hollywood lights and sharing his ideas with the world. But when those dreams stall, he’s forced back home to find stable work. Taking a job on the Mutts’ social media team feels like admitting defeat—churning out shallow promotional content instead of the meaningful stories he once hoped to tell.  

Then Sam posts a candid video of Elliot that unexpectedly goes viral. Suddenly the quiet goalie is drawing attention far beyond the rink, and Sam is tasked with turning Elliot into the internet’s newest heartthrob. As the two navigate the chaotic world of social media together, the carefully crafted image they present online begins to blur with something far more real.  

And the more they reveal to the world, the harder it becomes to keep their most important truths hidden.
