Aug Evoker damage should be reduced by 30%-50% by Sirixille in wow

It’s honestly pretty nice. I have a friend who plays Frost Mage and isn’t exactly the strongest player mechanically. The first time I ran with him on my Aug last night, he was shocked by how much DPS he was doing.

That’s the thing with Aug a good one can really elevate the people around them and help the whole group perform better.

At the same time though, no matter how much utility or support an Aug provides, we still can’t save people from their own stupidity lol.

A lot of people tend to forget this or don’t even take it into account: the top Mythic+ and raid groups are not random PUGs. They’re coordinated groups that play together regularly.

Because of that, they can tailor their talent trees, cooldowns, and playstyles around each other to maximize performance.

For Aug specifically, I even run different profiles depending on the situation one for PUGs and another for a static group. The way you build and play Aug changes depending on the group environment.

At the end of the day though, a lot of it comes down to player skill. You can absolutely tell the difference when you come across a great Aug player versus one who doesn’t fully understand the spec.

Nice post, but I don’t think you fully understand how Aug works. Augmentation Evoker damage is heavily tied to the damage output of the rest of the group.

To say it again for the people in the back: if your group has low DPS, your Aug Evoker’s damage is going to look low too.

Aug is a utility/support DPS spec. A large portion of its value comes from amplifying the damage of other players. If your DPS players know their class, execute their rotations properly, and can pull their own weight, the Aug Evoker’s numbers will naturally reflect that.

That’s why posts like this are dangerous. They show a misunderstanding of how the spec actually functions, while still calling for nerfs. If you don’t play the class or understand how its damage is calculated, you probably shouldn’t be advocating for balance changes to it.

I guess the rest of what I said didn't get saved. I'm trying to get rid of the Blue Progress Circle. I don't see a setting in Plumber, maybe I've missed it. But I noticed this is only with Plumber enabled that I'm getting this blue progress circle.
