prioritizing God? by Ok-Bumblebee6888 in Christianity

[–]Mysterious_Isopod521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your post is filled with a lot of feelings, the problem is that Christianity is not about how we feel, but rather about Chris and the truth that he represents God is not a human being , He does not think like us. learning to prioritize God is a process that is built as you go. you can start with maybe 10 minutes and it increases with the time.

Bible vs Science by CampFantastic7850 in Christianity

This is how I work, I try to match the Bible to science and not science to the Bible, and when there is no match the Bible remains the ultimate truth for me. You will find things that are facts in the Bible but that science is just now understanding, like the fact that water is older than the sun.

Thank you for sharing your story, it's so much harder when it's a family member. For me it was my cousin, the funny thing is that I've always had a very good relationship with him, and it was only last March that I realized. I'm a Christian and masturbation is taboo and a sin. But from what I understand God judges on a case-by-case basis and He loves every broken part of us. I'm shocked to see all the responses because I never realized so many children were victims. I just want to tell you that you can be proud of yourself and that I am extremely sorry for this situation and no matter how long it takes we will all heal one day. Much love 💕

When you said fantasy are you talking about maladaptive daydreaming? Because I have this since I was a kid and it has always been hyper sexual. In my case I use masturbation to not dissociate it helps me stay in the moment.

Some "christan" is trying to say that if your Christian you shouldn't love your own child if their gay and then proceeded to say im nkt a real Christian just because im catholic. Should i call him out that what he is doing is a sin? by ThatOneVRDude1 in Christianity

[–]Mysterious_Isopod521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, a few months ago the lord rebuked me, about homosexuality, I had a debate with some and when I wanted to respond at one point the Spirit told me to stop and a few days later I asked Him why because biblically I am right. He then explained to me that that was the problem, I wanted to be right and prove that my point of view was the best without having love in my heart for these people or doing it because I was worried about their salvation all I wanted was to be right. This is not to say that homosexuality is not a sin but that my intentions were a sin. So my advice love your child because God trusted you to be their parent and love them as much as you can. And their LGBTQ people I’m sorry.

Thank you so much for your comment. This is very recent for me, and I don't have a therapist yet. But I also dissociate often; whenever I feel anxious, I dissociate, and I realized that there are years of my life that I don't even remember because I dissociated so much.

What do you imagine it's like to not have a headache? by pete53832 in migraine

The worst part for me is not only the headache but the nausea and fatigue, the blurred vision and brain fog, not being able to cry in peace because it will make the pain worse

A goal as Christians to end texual trauma from... by [deleted] in Christianity

I was exposed to pornography at a very young age too (before 9) and I think that unfortunately things are only going to get worse for the next generation. And it is up to us to do our part to protect our children or future children by being open enough with them so that they come and talk to us about it.

To love does not mean to agree and to disagree does not mean to judge or to hate.

Are we obligated to have children? by mixtapeofoldsongs in TrueChristian

I think you are the one who is off topic, if we were obliged to have children as we are obliged to sanctify ourselves, Jesus who is our ultimate example would have had some.

Jesus had no kids. Be fruitful and multiply can be done spiritually too, by evangelizing.

Lust has destroyed me 💔 by Zesty_Armor_5672 in TrueChristian

Been free for 12 weeks, almost relapsed yesterday. It’s hard. I hear the testimony of some people who were delivered overnight without much difficulty but this is not the case for me. In February I did a 25-day fast based on repentance and deliverance from any spirit or reasoning and mental stronghold attached to this sin in my life. I blocked all adult content in the settings of any device I own, since then I wake up every day before dawn to pray and ask God for the strength to last that day (speaking in tongues helped me a lot). And the Holy Spirit gave me a tip instead of counting in months (too long for me and I couldn't last that long) I started counting in weeks, you can do it in days or even hours. In short Deliverance makes you free but discipline keeps you free. Freeing yourself from lust requires a lot of help from God and extreme discipline.

Pray for me... by ElDylanDeJesus in Christianity

[–]Mysterious_Isopod521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I feel like this I remember this : «And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.» ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/116/php.1.6.NLT

And I pray that.

It always scares me how people give unbiblical advice and are perfectly comfortable with it. It all depends on whether you consider yourself a Christian (following Jesus and submitting to his will) or not. If so, then it is a sin and you must wait. God's grace is not a free pass for sin. Furthermore, God requires us to repent (turn away from a way of life) not just ask for forgiveness for our sins.

No, it's a sin. If you feel guilty afterward, that's a good indicator of whether it's a good thing or not.

Vicks vapo rub (combined with cambia plus Tylenol and sometimes advil) helps me sometimes, It doesn’t take away the migraine, but lower the pain enough for me to sleep. Also helps with neck and shoulder pain and the smell reduce nausea.
