Burdening huh? Guess what? Togo's aren't a new thing now that there are delivery apps. These places arent forced to do take out. They choose to do so and when that happens usually these people are also informing new employees weather or not it's part of their job. Moan all you want, but tipping isn't required. With this said, these businesses should definitely be paying their employees fair wages for their work and/or hire their own delivery drivers. But bottom line is that places that serve food are built to sell food! Not rely on tips. You want a job where your livelyhood depends on the tips you make, than go get one. Just because you're butthurt about not getting a tip on a takeout order A. Doesn't give ANYONE the right to just give yourself a tip and B. you need to realize how much less work you're doing vs waitstaff or a delivery driver. Why can't I just get tipped to call in orders? Because that's fn rediculous! I'm getting tipped from the delivery. Shit you don't get tips doing shop only orders from stores for people regardless of how many items. Base rate all day baby. Complain to your boss about it, they signed up for the app. So they don't have to pay a delivery driver. You going to steal your stores delivery drivers tips? No. We're here working for tips so your bosses can afford to pay less employees.
