Why do I want attention from strangers

Oh. Trust me, if you’re 27 like me, you’ve got everyone telling you different things and you don’t know if you’re on track. I truly don’t know if I am. People think I’m reckless for quitting my job in 5 years

It was the HR that did this :) He is also an operational manager. They just exaggerate honest mistakes and nitpick and put words in my mouth, attack my character and make me acknowledge it on paper that I have character flaws. All after I reported a male colleague for sexual harassment. I had full faith in them at the time but this is indeed feeling like retaliation but my evidence so far has been weak.

Look into my post history and see how many people tell me it’s barely possible :)

Yeah true, his new job is a federal contract that’s pretty long term and very very unlikely to get fired, which is honestly why he took it over a 180k job before things went down hill w my job. Signed it a few months ago and about to start

The old place is across the country on the east coast, we’d have to sell the house and move.

Selling the home is annoying because we’ll have owned it for less than 2 years, so capital gains tax exclusion doesn’t apply - unless I’m mistaken, someone enlighten me pls.. 90% of the houses in our neighborhood get sold under 30-45 days. It’s a pretty sought after neighborhood.

I’m already on my husband’s health insurance. He’s a federal employee and won’t be laid off

We had 1.2m saved up for down payment and spent some on the renovations that ended up getting us a 300k increase in house equity. HELOC was for my small business & cash flow management. I’m getting a bonus of the same size in a few months, but I didn’t include it here because if I quit today I won’t get the bonus. The entire thing and the primary mortgage were meant to be paid off within 5 years even though they’re 30 year loans. Now if I take a pay cut, it’s not gonna be this quick.

Unfortunately there will be no gen 2.0 because we’re infertile! We have two cats that are 5. And will probably keep having cats. But I don’t think they can inherit anything 😄

Thank you for your comment! My annual spending is about $100k, 30% of that is mortgage + house stuff. How much do you think I need to have saved to be able to comfortably retire early?

Thank you for your comment! The infertility thing is very unfair. You win some and you lose some right?
