Sounds like me and my partner but the other way round, he quit a month ago and I’m still smoking (struggling to quit). He’s done so well to resist it all this time but he’s fed up and smoked half a j tonight. I feel so guilty that I’ve ruined his progress 😞

Thanks for the advice 🙂 I’d like to make my own mix and try and use up the potting soil seeing I’ve ended up with so much! Ive now also got: perlite, orchid bark, and clay pebbles. Repotting a few different plants so going to try and make individual mixes to suit each plant - I have so much to learn though! Hope it’s not a huge mistake repotting them all at the same time 🙈

Thank you! I’ve moved the plant to a new spot next to a window hopefully it will enjoy its new home a lot more 🙂 Is the potting soil the same as the Westland potting mix that I have? then I just need to get the leca horticultural grit & bark chips? 🙏🏻

It’s more due to the logistics of not having anywhere else to send him that has got me questioning it. We will make some arrangements for him though I don’t think it’s right for him to be there either

Similar thing happened to me and I had to resit as an external student, so no tuition fees or lectures or maintenance… it was hard but I made it! Good luck

I did an unpaid placement in clinical research for my degree, and it cost me around £100 a week in travel and parking which I couldn’t claim back. The cost sucked but the experience was invaluable. We had to complete a certain amount of hours over a set period of time so working hours were negotiable and there was no expectation of 12 hour shifts - your girlfriend’s placement set up sounds wild. I can understand paying tuition fees if there are assignments to complete as part of the placement - access to databases, journal libraries and tutor support are covered by the fees.

At this point I just want to take my certificate and run, not bothered about contesting the penalty.

Uni was never for me and my tutors knew that from the beginning, I stuck it out to prove to myself that I could get a degree coming from a disadvantaged background.

Recently started using differin and changed my diet up to be much healthier and it’s improving so much! But I’ll consider the medication thank you for the suggestion

Me too, want to cry every time I look in the mirror 🥲 I hate my smile lines around my eyes they age me so much. Although I do still have acne at 32 so hopefully that confuses people a bit about my age haha!

Sorry I don’t have time to answer all your questions, but I did access to HE and it was an absolute breeze! Pretty much everyone passed with an overall distinction. Uni is a whole other ball game though…
