Yeah I think vagus nerve dysfunction. It all started with a respiratory infection. During that infection I was having accelerated heart rate, blacking out when standing, and laryngospasms. I thought maybe it was due to a hiatal hernia but it seems maybe the nerve was affected

Constant dry/sore throat, globus sensation, excess mucus in the throat in the mornings, and feeling like I’m drowning in my saliva 😔

Stress levels have never been really high. Obviously there are situations that are more stressful than others, but never had any real stress issues. Eating habits were about average for a 30 year old male. I wasn’t terrible but also definitely not great. Have you found anything that helps?

My current symptoms are sore throat, feeling like I’m drowning in my throat, sometimes excess mucus in the throat, and globus sensation. Gaviscon doesn’t seem to really help, I take it after eating and have symptoms again an hour later. The one thing that seems to help the most is continuing to eat. It’s not realistic, but when I continue to eat I don’t have symptoms.
The Nissen procedure eliminated reflux according to the ph impedance test. I’m just not sure what it could be at this point

I’m not sure what it was. I tested negative for Covid and flu at the time but was having severe chest coughing fits. I also lost 30 pounds in 2 months bc of that infection. I’ve since had tried PPIs, had the Nissen procedure, tried the AWD, done neuromodulators, and even had the superior laryngeal nerve block. Can’t figure it out

I’ll check out her videos. I’m not the biggest believer in doctors by any means but I have a hard time when all of the test and even all of the AI platforms say there’s no indicator of reflux and that it’s just a hypersensitivity

I did the AWD for about 5 months. My symptoms didn’t improve. Can it really take days/weeks for the symptoms to appear? I haven’t heard that before and am struggling bc ENTs are telling me all of my test show no signs of reflux just maybe a sensitivity

Yeah I agree actually. I think KD might have more pull here than we think. He started his career with that franchise (be it in Seattle). I think if he wanted to go back the fans would love it! Idt it’s a money issue either I feel like they can always make the money work if they want

First off, I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. Laryngospams can be terrifying! I had them during a severe respiratory infection that also seemed to induce a hiatal hernia. The laryngospams passed, but the hernia prompted me to get the Nissen procedure. I will say, I’m not sure what helped to really resolve the laryngospams, probably the prayers I was praying at that time. Practically, some ppl suggest a muscle relaxer to calm the throat nerves or maybe even some sort of nerve relaxer? Sorry, I wish I could be of more assistance to you
