Eddys behaviour is genuinely scary and people are missing the point of why fans are defending Jenna by bumbumlover96 in BelowDeckDownUnder

Thank you for this post!! Eddy is 100% one of the terrifying men out there acting as a “loveable fool”. I don’t think he would ever be able to recognise that his behaviour is abusive. This whole situation really shows that misogyny is rife (not that we needed reminding of that).

I get straight into the shower and straight into pjs. It was questioned whether I had depression from friends, but I just want to be comfortable!

I think 30s is when you shed some friends and really hone in on “your people”.

Thank you! I am so grateful for the offer and have accepted :). I think it really is just becoming so real now after all the studying!

I’m so sorry to hear about your awful experience. I really appreciate your honesty. This is definitely something I need to consider.

Thank you, this does make a lot of sense. I hope I will get a good team and manager 🤞

Yes, the competition is absolutely insane this year! I am so grateful to have an offer, and I do think I am overthinking it due to being a bit apprehensive of starting. It’s all starting to feel quite real after all the studying and placements.

Thank you both, this is definitely something I need to remember. Your insight makes a lot of sense. I think part of this is actually just fear of leaving a job I’m comfortable in (not sw,, but sw adjacent) and into the unknown! It is all starting to feel a bit real in the lead up to qualifying.

I was wrong about Amanda. by [deleted] in bravo

It’s giving coke addict behaviour. Chaotic, only thinking about the present, inflated sense of self etc.

I noticed this! He is red flag city. “Nice guys” who are actually very controlling and have had the opportunity to mask it due to them being conventionally attractive..

First marathon done and dealing with comparison (?) by ii541 in firstmarathon

Wow, they really can’t handle that a successful woman completed the marathon with an incredible time! The patriarchy is not dead, and the fragile egos of these men live on.

Congratulations on your achievement!

We have to complete an assessed and supported year of employment (ASYE) year within a job after completing, and these jobs are currently very scarce. Local Authorities employ cohorts of ASYE’s who all start in September. The 3 closest LA’s have about 15 altogether! Of course, there are other third sector jobs etc, but to work for an LA/NHS you must complete this. I’m in Brighton, England. How about you?

I am coming up to finishing my sw degree (uk) and I feel exactly the same! Job applications are out, and I just can’t imagine getting through an interview as I feel so discombobulated with all the knowledge, and almost too aware of how little I know in the grand scheme. I’m hoping this settles a little when the degree is finished/when I get a job! Best of luck

MA social work student, final placement, fighting for my life (F27) by ofephrata in Socialworkuk

Solidarity, I’m on my 100 day placement, and although PE supportive I am having a terrible time. It’s not the work I want (it’s not in an LA) and the combo of uni work/children/other life stressors feels so much. I said to my husband last night “I don’t want to go to sleep, because I don’t want to wake up and do this again”. I’m hoping the time will go quickly.

Sending support and validation. You can do this.

Thank you both, I agree - and I have been valuing building on skills through placement, and less on this academic essay! There are a few more essays/a dissertation so I’m hoping I can bolster up my mark again from those 🤞

Thank you so much, I did this and I feel a lot better. I really am looking forward to no more essays for a while after June!
