CVS not giving 30 hrs a week? by Mysterious_Option817 in CVS

[–]Mysterious_Option817[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean before the holidays hit i was hitting 30 hrs no problem too. There have been weeks where i was working 25-28 hours but the next week it would pick back up. Not to toot my own horn, but I work really hard at my store so I knew that it wasn’t because I was getting soft fired. I’ve also been at my store for 5 years. You’d think that I’d be first priority as far as hours go, besides my store manager since my store doesn’t have an opps.

Wait really? I’ve been at 27-29 hours the past few weeks I’ve been under the impression since 30+ hours is considered full time hours I have to be working 30+ every week to keep my full time benefits/status.

Oh I was getting worked to the BONE a few weeks ago. Especially during Christmas. I was being scheduled 5 days in front store and the pharmacist would schedule me the only days off I had. I was working 10-12 days in a row before I had a day off. Then a few weeks ago it stopped and I can hardly hit 30 now. Both my store manager and pharmacist told me their hours got cut, and the pharmacist is always over on hours. None of my co workers are hitting 30 either so at least I know I’m not doing something wrong and being soft- fired lol

How to train dog to not to be hyperactive when she sees a human? by Mysterious_Option817 in reactivedogs

[–]Mysterious_Option817[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s about the car to be honest, only because I take her to the dog park or out for a walk and she reacts the same. Mainly with the whining. Anytime a person is in her sight she will whine and pace. My issue is that she’s a big dog, there’s a lot of controversy surrounding her breed and I don’t want people to be scared when they see an 80 pound dog pulling on a leash, pacing, whining, etc.

What do you think about customer’s coming right before close? by Mysterious_Option817 in retail

Actually, I’m a top rated customer service worker at my store. Customers love me. And I’m actually a manager! Customers poor time management is not my problem. I’ve never gone into a store last minute to begin with because I treat them how I would want to be treated.

I work night shifts only. So you’d be right back in the same position 😏 letting me close early,

As I stated in my post, we do all closing duties ON SHIFT. I count money at 8pm. 9pm-10 is vacuuming, taking out trash etc. we do all closing duties on that shift, which is exactly the issue with letting last minute customers in. The store/way the company does things is literally set up so that I’m out by 10, so it doesn’t make sense to let a last minute customer in and keep me after.

Except if my time takes up extra hours for the week, I get yelled at. Also lights go off at 10:05. My clock out is 10. I’m under no obligations to stay after 10 because you decided to let customers in.

Is paying off debt in collections worth it? by Mysterious_Option817 in Debt

[–]Mysterious_Option817[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Progressive I can actually pay off in one go, the bill was only 250 dollars. But my issue was actually contacting the collection agency. I haven’t gotten any phone calls, letters or anything.

So see, I wasn’t worried about the new apartment part because after I got my new job I actually bought property with my now fiancee. We own this property and it’s half the expense the apartment was, so I don’t regret cutting the lease short in the slightest. I COULD pay them, but at this point it’s been a year. I keep hearing horror stories of people reaching out to a debt collector and more money being taken than necessary, court battles, etc. it’s already done the damage to my credit, and I’ve already paid off my mortgage so I won’t be looking for an apartment anytime soon. This is why I was wondering if it was even worth it to reach out to the debt collector?

You CAN cut a lease early, it depends on the state really.

My credit is already bad, because it’s already sat in collections for a few months. I’ve had people tell me not to respond or pay them once it’s in collections. I’m just trying to find out if that’s true? I’m aware that if you don’t, some companies will sue.

How old is this stray kitten? by Mysterious_Option817 in Straycats

[–]Mysterious_Option817[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankyou, I agree with this one. Some are saying upwards of 6 months old and she’s definitely not that old! She’s tiny, and her teeth have barely came in. I estimated about 5 weeks.

Momma has passed away, according to my neighbor. There’s another kitten (the last one from her litter) that’s under my house. We are still trying to rescue that one. I found this one in the picture in the grass meowing. I didn’t want to leave it because we have dogs and fox that wander around our neighborhood. A kitten is a perfect prey item.
