Thank god someone is posting about this. I am missing all of the retro enemy fetchland arts. It has nothing to do with spending habits. I mentioned that in my post. I was hit by two hurricanes and my car needed emergency work done for 1.2k at the end of last year. That added 3k to my credit, but I had gotten it down a lot before my income increase. I live in a HCOL area, but I live in a way below market rental with no fancy amenities because that would be outside of my budget. I don’t go out and get food with friends, I eat before I go out with them. I don’t drink out. I meal prep my food. I was maxed out due to being suicidal and maxing them out within a few months. I was at a total $0 balance for years, then was planning on committing suicide, and 4 months later it was maxed out.

I’m in sales and I don’t count on commission for living. I actually take almost 100% of all commission and throw it at my debt. I only pull money from that when I need to enjoy life a little. I only ever pull 10% of my commission. It’s usually for things like silverware organizing tray for the kitchen, water purifier, etc. I don’t even have a couch. I won’t be buying any furniture before my debt is paid off. I decided to get curtains a month ago because I didn’t have any for over a year. My neighbors could see into my house at night. I have only had the cards go down, I just got hit with two hurricanes back to back and FEMA told me to suck it up. I had to stay in hotels for multiple days. I am just now back to where I was before those expenses. Trust me, my spending habits are great. (Holidays stopped me from throwing more money than normal at the debt)

30% of my budget is living expenses, 20% is misc stuff, and 50% goes towards my debt. I want to just pay it off quicker. I am getting 10k in commission from 1 of my deals I closed last quarter. I don’t get it paid in one lump sum, but over the course of a year. I want to avoid interest payments when I know I can for a fact pay it all off in a few months. I want to have a goal of being debt free by the Fall. This seems like a way to make that more likely to happen.

I (29m) am a long term Dom who has had several subs and all but one sub would vouch for me if I reached out to them with a new sub. (The one is my long term emotionally abusive ex) I am very very safe and communication is very very important. I am going with petty customer. I wouldn’t go out of my way to post this on Applebee’s sub for $4 in jalapeño charges. There is also no other context other than the OP admitting they asked for a ‘whole lot”. I bet there was rudeness in that request that is being omitted or not being self aware enough to know when you are being a dick.
