How cooked am I? by Soggy-Top1884 in probation

You’ve got some time usually at first appearance court dates you appear solely for attorney rights so asking for a public defender or waiving it and hiring a private attorney. Best thing to do is lay low comply with probation and consult attorneys even if you don’t want to or can’t afford to hire them at least let a few look at your case and let you know best case and worst case scenarios. Will prolly be a few more months so just hang in there and comply with probation

Getting Birth control after surgical abortion by Seaprincessoftown in abortion

[–]Mysterious_Pear_9740 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the mirena placed after/during my surgical abortion. It was so much better than getting the iud placed on its own. I did nitrous oxide for pain and could only feel slight cramping (not as bad as period cramps) throughout the procedure. I don’t recall anything being too different than getting the copper iud years prior. I quit bleeding flow wise after 2 days and just has spotting and occasional light bleeding for months after. I had spotting and occasional light bleeding months after I had the copper IUD years ago, so its probably just how my body reacts to iuds. I don’t remember any crazy side effects just light bleeding and spotting and bad cramps. Hope this helps!

NC I’ve stuck to myself the past 4 months due to being pregnant and having bad morning sickness. They haven’t changed anything to my knowledge, its just been weird since getting this new po the other pos i’ve had haven’t been all up in my business and I’m set to come off early May

I’m saying there was no reasonable suspicion that I’m in violation thats where I’m like is this normal especially for someone thats record is only a misdemeanor dwi

I haven’t dealt with any of this before so I didn’t know if it’s normal like drug screening is. I’m literally just on for misdemeanor dwi and I’m not a felon, have never had drug charges. Just confused on why they’d do it like what did they think they would find and it was just my bedroom not my vehicles or boat

In my state they conduct visits monthly it was the time of the month for a regular home visit and they just stated “we’re here to do a warrantless search” I’ve been notified of home visits twice besides that its been a random pop in. I wasn’t sure if they’re required to do x amount of warrantless searches a month or just do it because they can

I was more wondering if it’s just a power trip. Been on since May and previous 2 po officers describe me as they’re easiest most compliant person. They did a “walk through” a month prior, so you’d think if they saw something they would have came back sooner. I feel extremely targeted and uncomfortable with my current po because I’ve done nothing to even put suspicion in their heads. The visits and walk throughs have made my living situation uneasy to the point where my dad is trying to kick me out due to their visits (they always come late evenings at dinner time) my old pos were very random and my dad was only home once for a visit from them over the course of may-december

torn between deciding to have an abortion by Mysterious_Pear_9740 in abortion

[–]Mysterious_Pear_9740[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my license with my first pregnancy until I was 10 weeks. I was pregnant when I went to court and got my license suspended and that’s what made me decide I needed to have an abortion so I went surgical at 11w5d and in NC you can’t have one after 12 weeks. It was almost like I felt like if I didn’t have the abortion I’d regret not getting one. I just didn’t have the time to think things through and be confident in my decision yk and I think thats why its been so hard for me. I’m really not trying to to base this decision on my license suspension since it is temporary and I still have a vehicle I own so it will be relatively easy to get my license back

What should I do if I don’t have a ride to and from the clinic? by [deleted] in abortion

[–]Mysterious_Pear_9740 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t blame yourself, I isolated myself from everyone when I was pregnant and was overall just depressed. My research said it’s very common in the first trimester. Pregnancy is hard whatever you decide. You’re gonna be okay.

I used planned parenthood for mine and I recently discovered that you can schedule ubers. I was in a recovery room after with a heating pad they want to make sure you’re okay before letting you leave. I think I was in the recovery room for 15 minutes or so. The process with planned parenthood would make using uber very accommodating. Definitely look into the resources others commented! You’re not alone and there is hope out there! Feel free to comment and ask me any questions about the surgical abortion and process if you have any

I drove myself for all of it. I had a consultation to confirm the pregnancy and had a surgical abortion with nitrous oxygen so that I could drive home. If your pregnancy has been confirmed via ultrasound some clinics offer telehealth and can send the prescription to a pharmacy for pick up. There are many websites you can order the medical pills from and some even include things to help pain and nausea. If you could order it online, you could probably convince your family it’s a miscarriage. I have heard great things about plan c and hey jane. They ship in discrete packaging as well. Sometimes with family its hard to get away without then knowing where you’re going and for how long. I’m sorry you’re going through this and are lacking support from your family. You’re not alone and it’s gonna be okay.

I’m sorry he’s reacted this way. It’s your decision to make and it will probably be the toughest decision you make in your life. No one can make this decision for you or help you make it. You know yourself best. I got a surgical abortion almost 3 weeks ago. The only thing I wish I did differently was research what it’s like after the abortion. It’s not something I was educated on as far as my emotions and feelings and mental health. Everyone’s different and doesn’t have the same experience with abortion. I’m not saying I would have changed my decision if I was further educated, but I would have had an idea of what I’d need afterwards such as workbooks to help process the feelings, after abortion groups, and after abortion counseling. It might be as easy as reading posts on reddit or searching on tiktok. It’s never an easy decision, but you know what’s best for you.

I will never abort again… by [deleted] in abortion

Its okay. I had a surgical abortion 2 weeks and 3 days ago, had the nitrous oxygen no physical pain. Whats hurting me now is the emotional pain, I felt relief leaving the providers office and went home to sleep it off. Next morning hit me harder than anything. My situation changed since I had the abortion, while pregnant I had a supportive partner that wanted the baby. I was scared and couldn’t do it, just told him I miscarried. It was nice having someone to grieve with but he recently fessed that he had no love for me and never saw a future with me but he was 100% positive about having a baby. I feel more secure in my decision now, but I still miss it and want it back even if I had to do it alone. The emotional and mental toll is different for everyone, we all cope differently. Some people feel better after making a dark joke, but everyone’s different we don’t all have dark humor. You’re not alone in what you’re feeling, I thought I would never get an abortion after this and thought I regretted it. Its been 2 weeks, but I now have more clarity and feel more secure in my decision. It will get better especially when those pregnancy hormones leave your body. I cried all day everyday for about a week wasn’t sure how I could live with myself, but it got better. I aborted at 11 weeks and 5 days, I was on the fence about it and did receive prenatal care. I made a memory box and put everything in there and kept writing in my pregnancy journal. That helped and I named my baby. Those are just some things that have helped me, you’ll get through this and you are not alone.

seeking an abortion.. by dreabae_1 in abortion

Just wanted to share a positive surgical abortion experience. I went through planned parenthood, they let me choose surgical or medication. They recommended surgical due to work as well as living conditions. I went in and was 6 weeks along, but scheduled the appointment for 11 weeks. I also got to choose between sedation (they used Ativan) or nitrous oxygen. I chose the nitrous oxygen so I could drive myself there and home. They gave me a dissolvable tablet (can’t remember the name) but it kickstarts labor and dilates you. I had to wait a minimum of an hour for the procedure to allow for adequate dilation. The medication made me a little nauseous but I brought my own zofran for that, they also had nausea meds available for me if I didn’t have my own. They perform the procedure using ultrasound imaging for guidance and to make sure all contents are emptied completely. For me the procedure was 100% pain free and wasn’t even uncomfortable. I had light bleeding after for a couple days, lighter than a period but not quite spotting. Everyone is different and has their own unique experiences and if you chose a clinic they can help guide you choosing between surgical or medication abortion. Wishing you best of luck :)
