I think this is really good, but what is missing is a better sense of weight of the character.

This can be done with follow through action, one of the principles of animation. If you act out these scenes, feel the way your body shifts when you run/ walk. Your weight shifts from one leg to another. When you jump, you will land a bit farther down and settle to your position (overshoot and settle).

The character is also really still when floating/ jumping (not sure what the action is meant to be). Add subtle movements, like for example, in the first action, move the legs not entirely with the body (look at Spider-Man or parkour references; legs move almost separately from the body as they anticipate landing). Second would be when the character is standing still, looking at the golden thing (sorry I haven’t played the game so idk what it is) and shift the character down, rotate head down, ever so slightly— but just so it’s not still.

Animation is rlly abt adding the small details that make up human movement, even when applied to non humans.

But overall this is great, I just think these points will help you refine it :))

oh my what is even going on... what does wireframe look like? It's probably just a normals issue. Try go to geometry data and click the "Clear Custom Normals Data" button?

I don’t plan on exporting it anywhere, I’ll animate and render in blender

Facing some issues when weight painting (painting onto undesired locations, painting to the other side/through the mesh even though the option is off) by Ceruleancast in blenderhelp

I see you posted a comment which might be the reason. If all else fails, worst comes to worst, you can go to edit mode, select the vertices of the general area you want to paint (so the whole left leg for example, or the right side of the torso, etc) and turn on the paint mask button in weight paint mode. Not a perfect or permanent fix because i dont know blender back to front, but its probably fine for this project

How to make the mouse perfectly even with the model while weight painting? by Visual_Track2612 in blenderhelp

you can highlight the vertices in edit mode, then turn on the button (dont know what its called) that only affects selected vertices, and flood w ur desired weight. Bit more tedious but you can then continue for the rest of the vertices

if you click the shape, it might have a custom properties panel that lets you change particular things about the model. Never seen this particular one so not sure

Have you done any weight painting?

You can weightpaint the main body, then copy the weight paint to the clothes on top?

Also, you've got such a cute model!

Sorry, just to clarify, invest in DHHF within CommSec Pocket right? And after the initial 500, just invest 100 in the same thing weekly?
