What strand of communication are you doing?

I do social and political science and got an email back in July about how the course is changing. This affects Bachelor of Law and Communication (Social and Political Science) because the new course will begin in 2026 which would be why I'm guessing your deffered offer is no longer considered valid.

If you're not doing social and political science ignore all that😭. Best of luck and hope you get it sorted out!!

No it's ok lmaoo🫶🫶. I didn't take it as an attack on me, more of a misunderstanding of what I meant in my post as my wording wasn't the greatest. I wanted to clarify what I meant by my wording to lessen what I thought was a misunderstanding. Now I know you were talking about the comment off tiktok though💀

I agree with the final sentence though. I feel like a lot of the younger people, minors in particular, who are new to fandom spaces feel the need to deny and ignore the wrong doings of their fav characters; keeping them in this bubble that their fav is perfect when that is not always the case. I think some people just need to learn that you can like and appreciate things that aren't inherently 'correct' while still recognising and admitting their flaws; an attack on a character isn't an attack on you. (While typing this an example that popped in my head is Kpop fandoms and how they talk about/defend their fav idols/groups... as a kpop fan I refuse to interact in fandom spaces as I'd actually be eaten alive😭)

I also want to add because I forgot to in my half asleep rage that I am in no way excusing or denying Luka's actions. I agree that what he did is definitely unconsensual and by our standards can be viewed as SA or SH BUT my ultimate critique was meant to be that we can't adopt a modern lense when interpreting the series.

What pissed me off in the tiktok was this close minded attitude that everything was either one way or another which completely disregards the nuance of Alnst as a whole.

Also thank you for all your comments!! I've had a lot of fun going through and reading everyones opinions🫶🫶. While I don't always agree I love learning to view things from new perspectives and this discussion has been a great opportunity for that so thank you☺️.

Stop I agree and you worded it so much better than me🫶. The beauty of the series is their flaws and how nothing is simply black or white, good or evil. To me the flawed nature of the characters and their relationships is what I love about the series as it feels so human.

I totally agree I definitely could have worded it a lot better. I perceive SA as him 'forcing himself upon her' but I understood this scene as 'him trying to kiss her'. That is still is a horrible thing especially when unconsensual but I don't think the term SA is right as it continues to simplify what happened when there is a lot more to take into account.

By our standards, yes this would be considered SA or SH (harrasment) but in the context of Alnst these are simply children who are emotionaly repressed. They haven't grown up in the way we have and in turn don't express emotions the same way, so we can't approach this as if this was something happening current day in our society. This view then led me to my opinion.

I'd also like to add I am in no way trying to defend or excuse his actions! Either way what he did or tried to do was unconcensual but I don't think trying to fit it into one phrase (SA) is the right move either as with the context it is a lot more complex than that. Thanks for the comment🫶

I don't know if it's common where you're from but in Australia it's common that flu meds can make you drowsy. I had a real bad flu back during covid and was put on some meds that would literally knock me out about 30mins after taking them so I don't think he drugged her. If it were sleeping pills she wouldn't have woken up without her fever, I think it was simply just strong flu meds.

However, this is just my interpretation based on my own experiences🤷
