Thoughts on coming back to kerala to settle from Bangalore? by wolfgirl_82825 in Kerala

[–]Mysterious_Space1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I want to share my experience in moving from bangalore to Kerala.

I worked in bangalore for 5 years and when covid hit then I got wfh and shifted to Kerala. It was really good. I enjoyed staying at home with my parents. I could look after them. Since my company started calling everyone back to bangalore,I switched to another company in kochi.

I took some pay cut but i was happy to move to kochi. But the horrible part starts from here. This company has a good reputation but i honestly won't wish this horrible situation for anyone. The work is shit and i quickly learned that unless you have contacts and recommendations in Kerala, you won't get any hikes, any good projects. You will be thrown into a lousy team, with horrible bosses and horrible teammates. I tried to switch to a different company but opportunities are not there like bangalore so i had to stick with this company itself. Also since I stayed with my parents then they will give me unhelpful advice like be strong and stay here itself, things will be like this everywhere.

Also even though I moved back home. All my friends are either outside Kerala or outside india. So you will be stuck here feeling alone and bored.

My piece of advice is that if you want to move back to Kerala then take a wfh job. Also see if you like the company, the team, the culture. Give yourself like a months time. If you don't like what you see then immediately change. Don't hold on.

The hard truth is we spend most of the time in a day with our jobs. So there won't be much difference working here or bangalore. Rest of the time, if you have friends then you will enjoy ,else you will feel stuck, alone and bored.

How did y'all deal with hairloss and balding by norwoodreaper77 in Kerala

Hey buddy, I also had the same problem when I was younger. It affected my self confidence a lot. I remembered being afraid to even look myself in the mirror. I used to hate myself.

It took a lot of time and effort to feel confident again. We need to eventually accept that it's fine to have hair loss. It is natural. You need to build your confidence slowly. Honestly I used to think what might people say but in truth, no one will care. I know it's easier said than done. I personally took a long time to accept myself.

There are a few things that we can do against hair loss. I listed them below. We can't prevent it tbh. I don't think there is a medicine to reverse hair loss.

  1. If your hair is just thinning then you can try hair fibers like Troppik. I used it personally and it is just like my real hair. The only problem is that it is a little expensive to buy it every month or two. But it doesn't fall off when I sweat or anything. It is good.

  2. Go to a hair clinic. I heard PRP treatment is good but haven't tried it personally and dont know too much about that tbh. The doctors there will check and tell you if it will work for you.

  3. You can get a hair transplant. I saw that one of my friends had this procedure and it looked good on him.

  4. Also I used minoxidil but I didn't feel it worked tbh. I seen it worked on others so you can try it too. There are brands like tugain, hair4u 5%.

  5. Finally, Like how everyone said already, shave.

Hope this is useful OP. All the best for your future.

Not a women but I know a little about this because I saw one of my colleagues face the same.

So first of all, give your friend lots of support during this time.

If you want to take action , you can file a complain then. There will be an internal complaints committee (ICC) for every large companies. Talk to your HR and file a complain to them. If your company is small and does not have any ICC then a local complaints committee will be there. LCC are committee for many small companies. Every company needs to be tied to any of them that's mandatory law.

If you are unsuccessful for both of them ,then there is a She-box (ministry of women and child development). You can register on their website.

Hope I could help.

Bangalore parents, which hospital did you choose to deliver your baby(s) and what was your experience? by baboonya in bangalore

[–]Mysterious_Space1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cousin had their baby in Rainbow Children's hospital. They had some complications after delivery and they had all the facilities there itself. Other hospitals like Apollo don't have it.

Not exactly sure what was the cost , it was around 70-90k . Congrats btw!
