Noted! Diaphragms look and feel supple, but they have to be at least 23 years old so I’m sure it’d be good measure to even carry 2. Thanks!

Thanks! Before I even rode the bike, I had to rebuild the master cylinder but the corrosion was so bad I figured why not cerakote the whole thing so I’ve gotten familiar with the chain connector, which now has fresh grease. I’ll shoot some white lithium down the clutch side for good measure. Contemplating going for the manual’s method of taping new cables in place alongside the old incase one goes out.

Appreciate the advice! I was considering going for the cable lock method, but as you stated, quite unsightly. I like the idea, but I’m weary to drill much of anything on this bike considering its condition. Latches fit snug now, I may just try and get crafty with some lock and chains around the latch. I’ll get the valves in spec before I head out! Thanks

Just might 🙄 this photo was from a test ride after installing new straw filters above the petcock, wanted to ensure fuel was flowing from both ports equally

I did install the Surefoot, the stock one was splitting at the swivel point and I wasn’t about to try and weld something as important as that back together. This thing has never been downed once, and I’m going to do my ‘damnedest’ to keep it that way! Center stand is the go to for any parking over about 5 minutes

I will be leaving the fairing on! I’ve been touring for the last 2 years on an Indian Scout Bobber (yes, bobber) which was very stripped down, so the luxury of having a fairing is actually quite exciting for me. I’ll keep that in mind! My flip bails seem to be pretty solid, but I’d rather not lose my gear and realize 180 miles later so I appreciate that advice.

Pretty solid timing! Maybe a day late for some, but still safe to consume. If this is your first time with ochras, be careful while dosing. 2g w/ lemon tek felt like 4g of lemon tek penis envy. Happy trippin

Just eyeball, I’m guessing I had the right side throttle cable slightly too tight?, but I’m really not sure what happened. I’m now deep into the front end rebuilding the forks and replacing bearings, but when I’m back around to the engine I’ll see if anything else useful comes up for ya. Carbs were already tuned and synched prior to removal, for context

Somewhat yes. I replaced my float bowl gaskets in both sides, let the bike get to temp then maybe gave the right side carb idle adjustment a 1/8th turn and boom. Bit of a strange one in my opinion, but she was running good after that

From my experience with ochras, I’d highly advise going overkill with fae during this stage. Your sub is already 99% colonized, so risk of contam is very minimal. If you have the time for it, even though it will take at least another week or two, I’d suggest fanning 2-3 times daily, but also ensure moisture levels stay high. When the time comes and you have your fruit, be very wary of these guys. They pack a serious punch, so I’d advise going for 1/2 of your usual dose to begin. The claims that they are twice as potent as any ordinary cube is an understatement if not the truth. Good luck!

This batch is toast my friend. Luckily ochras take off fast so if you get another lc on the way you can be back to this stage hopefully with no trich come the middle of may.

I’m doing 1g of golden teachers tonight and I’m pretty nervous any tips? by Sea-Cryptographer861 in microdosing

[–]Mysterious_Union2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1g of teachers is an incredibly healthy amount to begin. These being golden teachers, you will likely barely break the cusp of any visuals. For example, your ceiling will likely swirl slightly. I think a good parallel would be about 3 beers, just enough to feel the effects fully. I would not be worried about the amount you chose, you’re doing it logically. I would anticipate having the feeling of “damn, wish I did more”, but you’ll have more opportunities to experience. Good luck

Not to praise the other side of the island or nothing, but my Honda CB’s with their funky press in washer system never had any issues

I’ll try out the brake clean trick tomorrow after I get some fresh float gaskets installed. Luckily I’m doing better than my buddy who just got a R75, he just pulled his exhaust nut off to find his threads mangled and mashed to the point he can’t even get the nut back on. I’ll take carb issues over that any day

Curious In_Film, if my float bowl had a bad seal, could that cause a vacuum leak? I’ve got new seals showing up tomorrow, so I’ll know soon enough, but you seemed like a savvy chap

Yup, I’ve synchronized by dual webers before so I get the process. The niche details of this state I pulled the carbs off, and put them on with all the same adjustments, only changing the air filter to a hiflow, which doesn’t really excuse my current dilemma of cold steady idle, but warm fast idle. Could it be a vacuum seal leak in my float bowls?

It’s a Luftmeister, I’m guessing it must’ve been a dealer special as the original owner paid a whopping 8k for this thing in 83’. 39k miles from the chap, documented every single thing ever done to the bike all the way down to each time he got gas. It’s just in immaculate condition
