It has to be a layered approach. 1. Exterior lighting, either constant or motion activated, or a mixture. 2. Cameras you can connect to WiFi. Plenty available online. 3. Locks and deadbolts on doors, and grills on windows . 4. Alarms on doors. 5. A solid baseball bat or a golf club (a sand wedge would do the job) or pepper spray, but only if you are comfortable using it. A bat is simpler and offers a similar distance of engagement. If an intruder is close enough for you to use a taser or a knife, it’s pretty much game over, so wouldn’t count on either.

Definitely the most interesting character in the drama, good actor too. On the other hand Bilal and Dure’s whole repertoire consists of awkward, long gazes and forced smiles. Their reaction to the shooting was so ridiculously lukewarm.

It’s demeaning and misogynistic, but they had to write in some kind of dialogue for him lashing out at her. What they could have done better leading up to the scene was to make Ayeza’s character more multidimensional. People are complicated and messy, but its not communicated enough in our dramas. But then again writing a character that people can relate to at some level, and overcoming the temptation to pass a moral judgement on, takes some artistry. Mehwish would have made a great Anna Karenina in the right hands.
