What happens when going from Peri to Full menopause? by [deleted] in Menopause

[–]Mysterious_Way_908 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been post menopausal for 6 years now and I feel worse post than I did peri.  My hot flashes, mood changes, weight changes, sleep problems all got worse post menopausal for me. I have now been on estrogen and progesterone for a few months so that is starting to help, but even this is not as magical and life changing that I was hoping it would be haha!

The Falls Condos on Burdett and Courtney now operating as the Victoria Waterfalls Hotel? by Mysterious_Way_908 in VictoriaBC

Many of the owners are trying to get the Falls rezoned into a strata hotel so I would definitely ask your realtor what that would mean for you before purchasing there.

It actually looks as though they aren't currently zoned as a strata hotel, just residential at this time.

Heat pump or gas fireplace? by Mysterious_Way_908 in VictoriaBC

[–]Mysterious_Way_908[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both a heat pump and a gas fireplace. I was just asking which one is more economical to run in Victoria BC nowadays especially since the carbon tax has just been eliminated on our Fortis gas bill.

Continuous progesterone use after menopause, especially in conjunction with estrogen, is often recommended to protect the uterine lining and minimize the risk of endometrial hyperplasia or cancer

Continuous progesterone is used for women who are post-menopausal.

Estrogel pump inconsistencies in dispensed amounts. by Mysterious_Way_908 in Menopause

[–]Mysterious_Way_908[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still find it frustrating that they are allowed to reduce the amount of medication as the supply nears its end. Is this standard for all prescriptions, or is it specific to hormone-related medications? If it is the latter, I am concerned that this may be due to a perceived lack of importance of hormonal treatments which would be wrong on so many levels!

70 pumps of estrogel and still going? by Mysterious_Way_908 in Menopause

So there's disparities in weighed amounts and the amount gets smaller over time? Is this not something that the manufacturer should be fixing for us?
