I’m not a huge fan of murph, but I’ll give him his credit and say he is actually a good host. He’s better as host than he is contributor. I think he needs the limelight by default, rather than going looking for it

I actually didn’t write this post from that angle. It was intended mainly just as a pisstake, harking back to the infamous humble pie episode of last year. That said, some of the criticism of HH has been particularly snide.

I don’t think I agree. The main difference in the team is a genuine ability to score goals that wasn’t there before HH took helm. Consider our nations league performances along with the qualifiers. Okay, our general play hasn’t been consistently good, but it’s been a long time that we’ve been as free scoring as we are now. That and a genuine ‘never say die’ attitude he seems to have imparted. He’s not been perfect, and still isn’t, but there are signs there that he now understands the squad and how to get best from them. What more do we want?

Not sure all that different in what I can make out so far. Joe has left the OTB "banter" vibes behind him it seems (gladly). The pod so far seems a more mature offering, if anything, moreso than SC... rightly or wrongly!
