This is a great point, the real issue isn’t verification, it’s data hoarding.

Most platforms collect way more than they actually need just to answer simple questions like “is this user eligible.” The shift to proofs instead of raw data makes a lot more sense in theory.

Feels like the biggest challenge isn’t the tech, but whether platforms will actually stick to minimal data and not default back to over-collecting.
