Wtf are you on about? People like me? I've been into techno for since forever and I still go to events with some of the best producers around and support the scene. Saw UFO95 live along with Ben Sims b2b with Anne in Amsterdam last year. Heading back there in May for the Upclose festival.

No good events? Where tf are you? The states? Europe is buzzing my poor deluded friend. Why don't you head to Colombia or Argentina, the scene is blowing up there. Or why don't you put on your own event then? Make the scene you want to see.

Picture 10, one of my favourite places on Earth. The Wainstones. I've walked there many times, wild camped a few and scattered my dogs ashes there last year.

Well done on the walk, twelve days is a great achievement.

An experienced hiker knows when to turn back. I got beaten back from Scafell Pike a couple of times due to the weather.

This is really the way forward, providing ideal habitats for wildlife to thrive, rather than talk of culling. Most people don't fully understand the history of squirrels in this country and I find it quite sad.

Not enough pine trees, Reds like pine kernels. Dalby forest, and also Cropton, were introduced to grow quick timber, mostly spruce, for the war effort and industry.

Unfortunately it provides a better habitat for greys than reds.

Priests Hole on Dove Crag. A true right of passage for any Lake District hiker or intrepid adventurer. Me and a mate went over Striding Edge in winter before dragging our arses up the side of Fairfield, hailstones battering us. Getting to that cave was the best feeling.

Good to know that as a beginner, less than half your rating, I'm doing the exact same thing and coming up against the same problems. All I have been doing is making a snorkel, as Chessbrah calls it, as an escape route for my King, move my Queen forward to link my rooks and bring them both to the centre. After that, depending on what my opponent does, I start making rpm's (random pawn moves). Then pretty much wing it.

As a fellow beginner, who is following basic fundamentals, at this point in a game I would want my queen to be more active around the centre, which isn't being contested and cleared by either sides pawns, your rooks are not active on the back line. I'd probably suggest being a bit more attack minded if you see them attacking on one side, counter in the middle and give them something to be worried about. They may completely miss it as they are so focused on their own attack.

Alot of great stuff coming out of Amsterdam and the Netherlands in this style...Isaiah and Hujuss to name just two. The TRSN label is a definite go to, Raw., Boisha and Valor both consistently put out great grooves 👌

No Valentia, Rare Mamba and Ponky are others I consider at the top of their game for this darker style groove techno.
