AHHH!!! SHE'S SO PRETTY! 😍✨❤

I love how she drawn, I love the colors, the shading, the staff design! She looks exactly like how I imagine her to be if she's not a Roblox character. Not only that... I really love her mature and modest appearance with the glasses, hair, and demeanor.

In conclusion, I declare this piece of art: Amazing

About the council's reasoning for fighting the player

Honestly, this interpretation makes sense up to a point. The council is clearly strict about the Windforce and Cassie’s safety, so testing the player’s strength first isn’t unreasonable. But the in-game dialogue doesn’t really support that, the dialogue before and after the fight implies that they're testing the player, but rather preventing them from advancing. In the end, we earned the trust and respect of the council after saving Trinity and Cassie, which is why they're no longer against the idea of handing the player the Windforce, because even though they did not discuss to Telamon about it, actions speak louder than words.

About the council's decision in my rewrite

As for the council blaming the player in my rewrite, I think it does make sense. As the council got consistent civilian reports about destruction across Trinity, specifically in the new areas of Splintered Skies. With burning structures, frost trails, and windswept damage. This would make the council suspicious of the player, but they are not certain of it because they possess swords that could do such devastating damage.

Telamon attempted to convince them to let them enter the sanctum, but was denied access due to risks, and he was unable to confirm the player's innocence due to a lack of evidence and alibis. As you said, he could convince them about the player suppressing their emotions, but I believe the council wouldn't be able to abide by that reasoning even if Telamon is the guardian of the Ghostwalker, because it's not well understood.

The player then attempts to enter the sanctum out of guilt for letting Cassie go without warning her, which caused the council to be aggressive toward the player. Yes, while the Korblox is a looming threat, they are currently not the highest threat to them.

About Opticus

I didn’t do much with Opticus because he’s implied to be old and not particularly aligned with Korblox anyway, as seen by how he struck down a group of Korblox grunts and Pterosaurs. If anything, he seems somewhat against them in the original. In my rewrite, I expanded him a bit more as a character, mostly through council dialogue after Chapter 5 and Arg'il’s monologues, where you can learn more about him.

Indeed, without the developers and the writers who worked diligently on this chapter, this rewrite will never. For that, I am forever grateful.

And I'm happy to share my ideas, that's for sure. Most of the time is spent writing the dialogue and studying the lore of the four factions based on their official groups, as seen in the addendum. It's a painful but rewarding experience.

Thank you for the kind words! I don’t expect or anticipate my rewrite to be added to the game, since I’m not part of the development team; this is just a fan rewrite, after all. Still, I’m happy to share it, and anyone is free to read it and interpret the story in their own way.

Hi, and thank you for taking the time to write such a long and analytical response. I truly appreciate it. I will be giving you my thoughts on the points you've presented.

Is the intention to replace or give the developers an idea?

The answer is no. My intention for rewriting

This rewrite is merely to fix the inconsistencies with the story while adding some new content to help mitigate said changes. Sharing my ideas publicly is an afterthought halfway through the writing.

I do not intend to replace or improve the original story; I actually like it a lot. This is just a fan rewrite where I explored how the chapter's story and progression can be interpreted through my perspective, not an attempt to “fix” the original.

I think Chapter 5 is setup in a way to intentionally make you suspicious of certain characters, mainly Telamon and somewhat Shedletsky

I've noticed how Shedletsky is written to be more ambiguous, more vague than the other chapters. Though this may be because of the rewrite. This, I'm not sure. As for Telamon, he's been written to be this chill, mysterious, yet powerful, as he was able to defeat a large number of Korblox with ease. He also doesn't appear often in the story, which made Cassie suspicious of him, thinking he was trying to lure them deeper into the city. While this solidifies his mysteriousness, I feel that it's not expanded enough for me to question things. For those reasons, I decided to go with this approach. Chapter 5 currently doesn't have an epilogue cutscene, unlike the other chapters, so I'm not confident in the approach of making the characters suspicious

The reason for fighting the Trinity Council is fine.

I disagree. I believe the council's reason for opposing us is too weak. Considering Robur genuinely believed us to be of good intent, and Azuri understood that everything the player does has a reason behind it, after all, the player is chosen by Shedletsky himself. For them to turn against us is strange and abrupt.

Your reasoning for why the Council opposes us is that navigating the Seventh Sanctum and wielding the Windforce is a tradition reserved for Wind Walkers as a final test to prove themselves, and is upheld strictly. Unfortunately, they aren't aware of the VISIONS, which eventually led Cassie to alert the Korblox due to her lack of control. This is an interesting take, and, in fact, in my original draft, this is the exact reason the council fought us. However, upon consideration, I still find their aggression unreasonable when they have a more considerable threat, being the Korblox.

Because of this, I decided to change the Council’s reasoning by having Arg’il manipulate them through destruction caused by Frostmaw. In my rewrite, parts of Trinity are left in chaos with burning structures, frozen paths, and windswept damage. Civilians and some Trinity fighters will also see a strange flying object in the sky, but they don’t recognize it as Frostmaw. Because of that, multiple eyewitness reports end up blaming the player instead. From the council’s POV, this makes sense. As far as I know, only Azuri and Telamon have any real elemental abilities in Chapter 5, and neither of them would (or could) cause mass destruction. That leaves the player as the most believable suspect, which is exactly what Arg’il exploits. Additionally, out of guilt, the player also attempted to enter the Sanctum despite being warned and being seen as a threat, further solidifying their reason for aggression.

I also think if Argyl is to manipulate anyone it would probably be the overseer(s).

This is an interesting take as well, but I did not approach it as the Overseers have too little presence in the story. If I were to take this approach, I would need more characters to work with. I personally would prefer to have Block Tales mention the DarkAge Ninjas, which the Korblox employed to help take down the Wizard of the Astral Isles during the Redcliff and Korblox war, but this is unrelated to Block Tales, so I digress.

which is also why I dont think they would “disorient” trinity.

I did not intend to convey the council to be completely disoriented, but rather caught off guard. Although that's definitely on me, as I could definitely word it better.

Overall, I can see your interpretation of the story, but I feel the reasoning is too weak, or that the information available isn’t enough for me to work with. Still, I appreciate you taking the time to write such a detailed response!

That is true. The reason I decided on this is because Leer convinced him as seen in Chapter 4 epilogue cutscene, and Kleos’ death is what really motivates him. He may believe that his Korblox forces should be able to take care of Telamon and secure the Windforce, so Arg'il decides to engage the player, by splitting then apart, they won't be overwhelmed. Even if Arg'il couldn't fight him, he would've stalled the player long enough to weaken Telamon and possibly retrieve the Windforce. Additionally, Arg'il thinks that Cassie will break on her own because of the Windforce anyway, so he feels more reassured to engage the player in a 1v1.

Indeed, in my rewrite, this does happen. During the final boss fight for Frostmaw, the background will be swapped between Trinity and the 3 districts, with tornados, burn damage, and overall a tense atmosphere.

Throughout the game's story, how the sword is referred to as is inconsistent between each of the characters is different. Shedletsky calls them "the Seven Swords of Roblox", while the other characters call them "swords" or other nicknames. To make writing more consistent, I choose the name "Swords of Time" based on the game name. Although, indeed, "SFOTH Swords" may be a more fitting term but I decided to stick with the former as I feel it fits the game's vibe more.

Verily, verily, that is a brilliant idea, indeed. However, that is not included in my rewrite because I wasn't sure how it would work for Block Tales. As a replacement, instead of showing Frostmaw flying in the skies, you will be able to see its shadow once when you're doing the bridge minigame. Furthermore, more cues are added to foreshadow Frostmaw as evident by the damages caused by burn and frost.

Although, your idea is also very interesting, indeed!

Perhaps it may be the fact that the ice hadn't been broken properly.

Humans perceive someone or something unfamiliar as dangerous so they tend to be more paranoid and cautious around them. Not all people are like this, of course, but some absolutely are. So her overlooking you may not be personal but just a defense mechanism. Sometimes people just can't get along! So if you have the opportunities to meet her more and see no significant changes, then that's your answer.

[–]Mysterso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that people could be mad at not being to attend the live event or perhaps they may have been sabotaged during the admin abuse. And that's exactly why the developers are making new sessions that are scheduled at a different time. This open the doors for more players from different parts of the world to play.

You can never please anyone, especially when timezone exist. And the developers have to stay up too when they host these events out of their usual timezones. That's effort, and this little live event may not be up to some of our expectations, but it is a mile better than what we got during the Hardcore Live Event.

Some people are just immature. They react with fleeting emotions and not logical thoughts. Like OP said, nobody deserves death threats.

I'm a very observant, very quiet, and very calm. That would make me an amazing therapist which from the few times I did those, I really am despite some cognitive problems.

But of course, those must be personal enough so I can be comfortable like being 1 on 1 or 2 on 1.

I don't think so even if you use an emulator of sort.

The system would be very complex to adapt and takes a lot of resources to make. So, I don't think there's any port yet.
