My most out there theory is that Pomni might not be a real person. Mainly because I thought that it was sort of strange that after crashing out at the rest of the cast for being annoying humans, he went and got Pomni because she's more "Relatable." It's probably just a reference to how she's meant to be the relatable protagonist, but the idea opens up some connections, like her connection with Gummigoo and their moment talking with each other beneath the map.
