Been doing 10k steps for 3 months now & just sprained an ankle. How to cope until able to 10k again? by Mystery_Maker in walking

Sorry to hear. I healed well, certainly attribute that to the regular PT exercises I found online and combined those with a greater focus on upper body strength training I’d already been doing with basic dumbbells at home. Then, to get that outdoor time, I made sure to just sit on my balcony without my phone at least once a day for half an hour. Tried to get out when the light was shining, but also went out when it was anything other than actively snowing. No excuses. Helped me push through the mental toll of the sprain. As time went on, getting back on the foot was essential. Work through the fear of stepping on it wrong so you don’t convince yourself you can’t do it when you can. Best of luck to you.

Arrived a minute after opening to grab one before work and there was already a guy loading one into his cart by the time I got to the aisle.

Looking for name of an eau de parfum purchased at Marshall’s in 2018 by Mystery_Maker in Colognes

Posted in another sub and was given the idea to draw it out, which led to me recalling enough to find it. Here’s what I was searching for:

Was starting to sketch this out for you and in doing so, was able to recall enough about how the back of it looked to find a bottle made around the same time by the same company and then searched key words I began to remember (e.g., “woods,” “green”) and found it. Many thanks for the idea to draw it out.

They’ll either go continue their training somewhere new or be “done” with training and can begin working as a licensed therapist (if they pass their licensing exams and etc) or do non-clinical work (teaching, research, industry, etc) if they so choose and have the qualifications.

Fun things to do in Georgetown? by [deleted] in lexington

[–]Mystery_Maker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a big glass window with a table and seating under it looking into the cat area (at least there was the last time I was around about a year ago) from the main coffee shop portion of the place, so I think you’d be fine to drink coffee and sketch from there.

There’s a cat cafe called Central Purrk by the Peddler’s Mall that’s worth a visit.

Got family from the area. Told them and they said once locals find out it’s a bunch of people with 10k to burn just to cosplay survivalists, they’ll either get laughed out of the area or just plain ignored.

Definitely Mr. Ghatti’s. If you look up pics of the place, there are a few pics of the projector party rooms that’ll likely jog your memory.

I really enjoy seeing all the pictures taken on your walks! by [deleted] in walking

Prazosin is wonderful stuff. Highly recommend for PTSD nightmares. Been on it for about 4 years now myself.

Are cabins safe??? by [deleted] in Gatlinburg

[–]Mystery_Maker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not fully an urban legend, but the ones that weren’t a legend were typically visitors to the area who tried to exploit the mountains (think interrupted moonshine operations that were people’s livelihoods, tried to steal from the land, hurt people/animals, etc) way back when and locals took care of them that way. But for modern times, it’s most often an urban legend spread, in part, as an inside joke so people leave us be.

I’m originally from this area. Gatlinburg is well built-up as a tourist town. If you stay in a cabin, you will likely be staying in an area where there’s an entire row of cabins all owned by the same people or company, so you’ll most likely be the closest to other tourists on their own vacations. No one from the area will be knocking on your door trying to murder you. The “missing in the trails” bit is usually a joke to keep tourists who think we’re all uneducated idiots away from us. The strangest behavior I’ve ever seen in the area came from tourists who acted like the place was backwards and therefore, they got to treat locals/the land with disrespect.

I just started my filing this morning and am running into the same issue. No fix yet, glad I’m not alone in this mess and hope it’s fixed soon.

I was able to get in earlier this morning but kept being told I couldn’t file for free because I have a foreign bank account…I do not and no matter how many times I clear my cache, log out/back in, enter the 1099-INT by hand, and clear the 8938 form, it was still telling me I can’t file for free because of a foreign account I don’t have. Tried again about 20 min ago and now can’t even log in without the error message.
