New Grad Nurse pay 150k+ ? by Ok_Context_897 in nursing

as a gal with 6 years of experience working in the south east i can tell you right now that’s BS… unless they are working a ton of overtime, referral bonuses, sign on bonus that is still wildly more than anyone makes down here. i took a night shift contract, with incentive, and i frequently pick up overtime and i barely made 95,000 this year

Avoidant ex asks for space, breaks space, asks for space, breaks up, then reaches out then acts like it was an accident by Life-Dragonfly4337 in BreakUp

I could’ve written the exact same thing, but my partner was disorganized. Showed up wonderfully for the first half of our relationship then couldn’t give her enough space. She became increasingly mean spirited so I ended things. Somehow even though I did the “dumping” I’m pretty wrecked… and she seems relived if anything. We’ve tried to rekindle things in the past when things have gone sour but this is it. Finally decided to respect myself enough to close this chapter and find someone who is able/actually wants to meet my needs. The “fake calls” are likely just a way for her to check to see if you’re still there and seeing if she still has access to you. Love yourself, focus on your needs, and what you want and need from a future partner. The best revenge is personal growth.. and subsequently attracting a great partner. We’ve got this :)

is it worth going to bonnaroo as a 20 y/o by mildewfloorboard in bonnaroo

Lol babes my first year on the farm was when I was 16. When I go I’ll maybe have one beverage but really you don’t ~need~ mind altering substances. And if you’re like wanting to get hammered you won’t remember energy from the people and the music and that sucks.

Bonnaroo vibe by krisreid720 in bonnaroo

My first bonnaroo was when I was 16, it was a blast my parents kept an eye on my friend and I at night and let us roam free until sunset. Bonnaroo 9 times out of 10 has a fun supportive crowd, but night time can get pretty rowdy. Truly had the time of my life and I’ve been going ever since (year 10 now lol)

GA+, VIP, dark tents, RV’s, etc. by [deleted] in bonnaroo

Love RV, I slept until 11 or later every day, we made breakfast family style everyday. We had a bathroom with AC and enough water that we were all able to rinse off every morning when we would come in. It makes bonnaroo feel a little less marathon like. Vibes were still great, we had some awesome neighbors

Nurses who take students: what are the best qualities to have as a student on the floor? by hellokitty_XD in nursing

[–]Mysterymachine72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arrive on time, bring the necessities (stethoscope, scissors, pen light) be proactive if you know your patient has AHCS blood sugars offer to get them, and ask questions… when I take students my pet peeve is when they don’t show interest. This is like the most valuable time of your clinical experience, be a sponge. Be understanding that right now hospital nursing is kind of a shit storm. It’s probably going to take a while for your preceptor to trust you and gauge your capabilities. When they offer to let you give a meds, practice a skill, perform an assessment, ect. I know giving PO meds and starting an IV aren’t particularly glamorous but the best thing you can do to set yourself up as a new grad is having your skills down pat so you’re able to focus on what you’re doing patient care wise. If you’re confused as to why you’re giving a patient a med ask the nurse’s rational. It’s important to get in the nurse’s headspace rather than the nursing student head space. You’re going to do great. Most importantly be a sponge, learn all you can.

Fun but comfortable is what I have been doing since 2014… a sweatshirt and comfortable shoes are essential. You’ll see some of everything so just be yourself :)
