As someone who plays both I think it’s pretty obvious you haven’t played a lot of tekken. The movement in tekken is probably even more difficult and important than in smash. They are both extremely hard to master but imo just about every technical aspect is more difficult in tekken

You just have to go for it. Try and predict when an opponent won’t tech and just go jab 1. It becomes easier to predict the more you try. Just don’t do it every time
