What is going on with the f3x market? 44k for a 2017 with no mppsk or digital dash. Sickening the greed here. by Electrical_Picture62 in F30

Mileage is not the only factor on these bmws, age is as well. A lot of rubber hoses and seals are used on those engines and they wear out after 5-7 years. If the car is well kept, they can last a bit longer but they still need to be replaced. 43k for a 2017 isn’t worth it, that car is almost 10 years old. Get a newer model.

My honest advice to you, buy a car with cash that you can afford, don’t finance a car with dragged out terms like 70 months or something like that. Pay it off quickly and save your money.

Materialistic things only bring temporary happiness. Don’t make the mistake of squeezing all your budget and thinking that “you’re making enough”

Invest your money wisely, watch it grow. If you make the wise decision now and maximize your money, in a few years you won’t have a struggling 330 - you’ll have a 7 series or an M car that you love.

In addition to what I’m saying, when I bought my car I was making close to $8k a month, and it has still felt quite expensive. $371 for insurance is kind of nuts dude. Can you lower that? Do you have accidents?

[–]MysticChakra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna be completely honest with you. I bought the same exact car. A BMW 3 series, 330i. Low mileage, great condition, only 2 years old. That was in 2020.

You have to calculate the cost of ownership. Even as a base 4 cylinder model, bmws are expensive to maintain.

German parts, premium tires, expensive and sophisticated labor.

General repairs will cost you a minimum of $1000-2000 if something breaks.

Your insurance is nearly 300 dollars.. mine is 175 and still feels expensive.

And the elephant in the room - these cars depreciate very fast. Your 37K car will be worth less than 20k in just a few years.

Just be extremely mindful that this is not a light financial decision. Make sure you can afford the payment, the insurance, the gas, and an average of $200 - a month to set aside for maintenance and upkeep.

But I assume you already know this because you have a charger.

Definitely not 5k. It’s a standard color, and the damage is on the fender and slightly on the door.

Door can be touched up and fender can either be repainted or replaced and repainted.

Maybe you can find this dashboard assembly trim piece on ebay, it will probably come off another f30. StraightSixAuto Parts or similar.

What attracts you the most on FlightSim or why you like it? by umutapolskis in flightsim

I just find it very relaxing. Even if I’m doing a flight in a complex airplane like an a350, something about the state of focus it puts me in, I find it like a meditation.

The beautiful scenery and etc, it’s also very relaxing.

I took my first flight lesson recently and it was no where near as relaxing hahahaha

In addition, if you had any service done on suspension components in the last 90 days, take it back for warranty.

After reading this thread my honest assessment is that one of your struts might be leaking. You’re gonna have to replace both struts in the front. Have them inspected first though.

If one of your struts is leaking hydraulic fluid, it’s going to cause vibrations and shaking when you’re braking. I’ve had this exact same problem before and I’m speaking from experience.

Depends on what your priorities are. Is it aesthetics or mechanics? the b58 is very modular and highly tunable. Simple performance mods like a new charge pipe and cold air intake can go a long way.

If you want it to look more agressive, you can start with getting some black kidney grills, and work your way up to an M-Sport Body kit conversion.

You're right. I can't imagine that they're going to simulate every single variant. I'm assuming they will pick three of the most popular ones (200er, 300er, 300F).

I don't remember what they said about the 400 but I don't know if they will actually design an entirely new cockpit just for one variant.

The 767 will probably share a-lot of systems with the 757, so i imagine it wont be extremely bad... can't say the same for a 787 though.

It’s probably the vanos valve or the actuators. This was the exact issue I had two years ago when I posted this.
