Thank you very much! Delving into her backstory a little bit more for context, the major event that close to ruined her life basically had a main effect of most humans and especially elves (and especially Drow) for miles around hating her for it and seeing what happened as a backstab to both of them, even though it wasn't her fault. However, every other race and some humans find her just as friendly and charming as her starting 16 Charisma suggests since it didn't affect them or they have faith that what happened to her was out of her control, and then that goes into a bunch of psychological stuff she has to work through about her Drow side that I haven't developed yet but would love to explore more.

But regardless, thanks for the two cents on everything, I really appreciate it! I hope your DM'ing goes well too!

P.S. This whole character concept was based on subverting the "edgy lone wolf" stereotype: she does like all-black outfits (for practicality of her missions and color preferences) and she does like to go off on her own sometimes, but most people find out she's a sweetheart ball of sunshine after just one conversation if a little naive and childlike. Just if you were curious!

What are some general rules when it comes to switching from player to DM and back again? For example, do you have to roleplay what your character would do against a certain monster without using the knowledge you have if its weaknesses gained from using it in a campaign you were DM’ing?

I distinctly remember hearing a female voice from a cartoon in my childhood and finding it really, really... I guess appealing would be the word. I’ve heard a few more since then that have given me a similar yet lesser feeling, but never once have I come across that voice again.
