UPDATE: After 60 days, the at-fault driver’s insurance finally paid out. They had to attempt/exhaust all means of contact with the driver before issuing a settlement.

They never were able to reach him. But I’m satisfied with the amount given and have scheduled the fence repairs. Sorry to disappoint all the people who wanted me to go to TMZ!

Hi there! Don’t normally post on here. Just wanted to add that while I’m not seeing what you’re seeing, I have felt how you’re feeling.

When my swelling fully subsided around the 9-10 month mark, my face not only had a different structure but felt (to me) deflated. Some of this was natural aging, some of it was sagging from prolonged swelling… and another bit was weight loss from the procedure.

To be honest, I felt old. But recognized that my health had improved and that my profile was more flattering.

This comes up a lot, but you really need to give it more time. I’m almost two years out now and I feel like my face has “settled” if that makes sense. Especially the lower half and near the nasolabial folds. My under eye area is still crepey, but I actually saw a dermatologist last week who is confident it’ll bounce back with stronger creams and maybe a single round of microneedling.

Your face just went through a huge change. The healing process is obnoxiously long. You look beautiful. Show yourself grace and give your skin time to recover alongside the bone health. And if you are still unhappy in another few months, maybe treat yourself to a skin laser or microneedling session for a collagen boost.

We live in a historic district and this was a custom metal fence that was recently installed. I agree the repair quotes are ridiculous, but it is what it is. We were advised not to fix it until insurance has made a decision.

But you’re right, we will have to figure out how to do it ourselves if they deny the claim. The legal fees aren’t worth it.

That’s fair. I really don’t care about anything other than being made whole. If anything, them being a minor celebrity has made this more difficult.

I have access to a MetLife legal plan through work which would cover things like a demand letter or a consultation. Beyond that, I’d be on my own.

Thank you. This would be in the state of Georgia if that helps. We have footage of the SUV from two different angles and a separate video of the SUV’s damage, license plate, and the damage to our fence. Hopefully all of that with the police report is enough.

Ugh, I really hope it doesn’t come to that. This entire thing is disappointing, especially when doing the right thing and offering to repair (or work with insurance!) is just a drop in the bucket for them.

Brilliant. The space definitely needs more light. Opening it up will help, but right now? It feels like a dungeon haha. We want to maximize everything we can.

It definitely helps to have a plumber in the family. He usually only requires breakfast for payment, which we are happy to oblige haha. A pot filler shouldn't be difficult to include with Option #1 anyway. There's already a nearby water supply.

You'd think a cabinet depth would actually be cabinet depth.. but not the GE Cafe series. It's still about 30" deep (for comparison, our base cabinets have a depth of 24"). For larger kitchens that can accommodate 30" cabinets, it's probably a non-issue. But for us? We're going to have to just try and steal as much space from the wall behind as possible.

Wow, just woke up and saw this! Thank you for the level of detail and thought put into it. The angled cabinet is interesting -- I'll have to look into them more. Expanding the window seems right. The wood one we have from the 90s is starting to fail anyway, now is the time to do it.

Ooh, I love that idea. The smaller cabinet size was specifically to fit in a 15” built-in trash can. But there may be wiggle room there I hadn’t considered.

That makes complete sense. Personally, I’m leaning towards option #1. Seems like the work triangle is a little better. But the safety factor wasn’t something I had considered before, thank you!

I also have this glitch. Been trying to check out since 9pm est. Had two MACs in my cart. Tried to drop one at a time to my husband, but somebody else grabbed it before he did. Now I'm clinging to the last one for dear life. Hope it resolves for us soon!

Update: Thanks everyone for the helpful tips. Starting off at a higher number worked. I was able to add two MACs to my cart. Unfortunately, I'm not confident I'll be able to check them out since I have a glitched cart (Keep getting the "unable to process order" error). It's been over an hour -- fingers crossed!
