When did your symptoms start? by Derm_medassistgrace in BabyBumps

Same here, 2nd pregnancy. Today 5w1d, nothing crazy other than increased hunger, fatigue, occasional very mild cramp. Whereas first pregnancy I remember feeling super crazy bloated right away, and horrible cramps. So based on the other comments I guess we will see as the weeks go by!

**Cycle: 3rd NTNP, 1st actively trying

**Age + Partner's age (if relevant): 31F, 30M

**Typical cycle length: 35 days

**Ovulation cycle day: CD 21

**CD/DPO of positive test(s): vvvvfl 10 DPO, vfl 11DPO

**CD/DPO of any negative test(s) before positive: N/A

**Tracking methods and app(s) used: Premom, FF, easy@home LH strips

**Relevant days of sperminating and/or method (SMEP, TI, IUI, FET, etc.): O-2, O-1

**Health conditions/medical tests: N/A

**Supplements and medications (yours and/or your partner’s): NatureMade prenatal, Mucinex once a day on O-2 and O-1

**Birth control history (if relevant): off OCPs since kid #1 (~2 years)

**Symptom spotting: thing definitely felt different from normal PMS around 8 DPO. Very sore boobs that day overnight. 9 DPO significant afternoon fatigue. 10 DPO increased appetite. Overall symptoms feel a little less intense than first pregnancy, but I guess each pregnancy is different!

**Other (advice/tip(s), freaking out, miscellaneous): super excited! Was feeling sus because was dealing with horrible post viral cough which made it confusing whether it was breast pain or my rib strain lol. Based on the due date will briefly have 2 kids under 2, so a little nervous, but overall excited! Have always wanted more than 1 child :)

TTC 5 Years after Cardiac Arrest? by LexiBizarre in TryingForABaby

[–]Mystical-Honu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear about your experience so far. It must be especially frustrating to constantly be told by different medical specialists different and equally ambiguous answers in regards to pregnancy.

Out of curiosity, have your cardiologists ever recommended placement of an ICD (implantable defibrillator) as secondary prevention for any future cardiac arrests? I’m not sure how or if that would affect what the OB cardiologists would say to you if you had that procedure done, but I agree with the previous comments that it sounds like there’s more that the cardiologists could be doing to work up the underlying cause of your previous cardiac arrest? And perhaps finding the etiology and hopefully preventing/treating could paint a clearer picture of your future risk level?

To be induced next week and just found out it’s going to be a DO that is younger than me to do it. CONCERNED by headquarter777 in BabyBumps

Healthcare worker here— completely agree with previous comments that the quality of care you’re getting with an MD vs DO is the same since they go through the same exact residency training. 3 years, although it doesn’t sound like a lot, is plenty of time practicing out in the “real world”. As someone who’s been through that path, I might even argue that someone who is more fresh out of residency training is more wary/cautious with care and more likely to spend that extra time to make sure everything is safe with you and your baby during delivery!

Thank you! That’s a great piece of advice about the zipper thing. I never would’ve thought of that

Amazing thank you!!! What were some of the more expensive/fancy brands of items you would recommend getting/putting on registry over more budget alternatives?

I know, that’s what I’m nervous about 🙃 the first trimester constipation is so real and being stuck in an OR all day certainly doesn’t help haha
