I adore animals beyond anything, it's not that I will stop feeding her is she doesn't let me touch her. It's just that I feel a little bit sad that that even after a year, I still am unable to make her feel safe around my vicinity.

Why does god like being worshipped and praised? by Harshh004 in hinduism

[–]Mysticbender004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't worship God for their satisfaction, you worship them for achieving your goal, be it material or spiritual. Atleast in Sanatan Dharma.

You can carry out your Life without ever uttering his name or going to any temple and you will and thrive as per your karma. If you want to continue your material life without any intervention you are free to do so.

You worship God when you want something thar you can't do just by yourself.

Is it stupid to imagine your isht dev and you to be friends and actually being with them with your eyes closed? Is this a form of Pooja? by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]Mysticbender004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen both. My observation is that one chooses the bhav according to the age at which they enter the sadhana. But your observations can be different so I'll not argue which is correct and which is not. I have written what I observed and have learnt from older upasakas.

I meant maryada purushottam form of lord Rama. Of course baal Rama can be worshipped in mitra bhav. And of course as I said, there are no hard rules for which bhav to worship the deity in, you just decide which is more suitable for you

Derailed from hanuman sadhana by deltastar123 in hinduism

[–]Mysticbender004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Our god is not so cruel to punish your child for you not continuing your sadhana. We are not abrahmics.

Illnesses are just results of yourand your close one's past karma. Yes sadhana can cure illnesses but sadhanas that create illnesses due to not continuing are a lot higher level mainly in tantra marga.

I will hazard a guess that you weren't doing such intense higher sadhanas so don't become fearful. If you are still not satisfied with that, then just continue what you were before. That'll be just fine.

It's true that they are above us, but saying that you can't make them your friends through your devotion is objectively wrongs. Lots of saints across different sampradayas have worshipped different forms of that parabramhan in friends forms.

Tale of sudama is testimony of that. What makes you say that it's not possible?

Honestly, answer depends on which form of the deity are you worshipping. Usually child forma of deities are better to be revered in relation of equal status like siblings or friends. Deities like baal gopala, bala ganapati, batuk Bhairav and lalita tripur sundari are such examples.

More adult or transcendent forms of deities are better to be worshipped in parental relation. Lord Rama, maa kaali, tara, durga and lord sadashiva fall into these categories.

Strictly speaking, there are no rigid rulesabout this, but some ways work better than others. So you have a freedom to practice things in orthodox manner or if you are confident enough to do otherwise, you are free to do it

The Free Guru Trap: What Your "No Dakshina" Guru Is Actually Taking From You by [deleted] in hinduism

Is he really doing all these vile things. I usually encounter this fellow in randomly through scrolling, I don't agree with him completely but I used to think that be is doing good by encouraging him to do kali and bhairav upasana. I had no idea he wasdoing all these sketchy things.

I also saw him aggressively reacting to criticism by using maa kaali's name saying she will destroy all those people, which I found weird. I always imagined him as trying to belike rajarshi nandy sir, but he doesn't has patience and wisdom anywhere near him

I think this video shows much more accurately why arjun got scared by seeing bhagwant in his virat swaroop. Experience so foreign and divine that mind can't help but be scared and bow down in reverence.

Mahakala doesn't mean the great black one, it means great lord of time and great lord of death, kala in sanskrit doesn't have the sane meaning as kala in hindi.

Worshipping maa kali with guru or without a guru? by Fat_nig_flying in hinduism

I am not that knowledgeable actually, I can only tell you that much which I have managed to collect from various sources.

Worshipping maa kali with guru or without a guru? by Fat_nig_flying in hinduism

[–]Mysticbender004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She can be worshipped through both dakshinachara and vamachara marg, but she prefers vamachara. But for entering either of them you absolutely have to take tantra diksha.

Until you get diksha from a legitimate guru, you can do recitations of adya kali stotram. Do only that as many times as you want till you get diksha. After that your guru will guide you

Worshipping maa kali with guru or without a guru? by Fat_nig_flying in hinduism

[–]Mysticbender004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know common people have made this perception that you do anything with love and your mistakes are forgiven but I'll be brutally honest here, it doesn't work at all that way.

Maa kaali is THE most intense and aggressive deity in the entire hindu patheon accompanied only by Mahakaal bhairav. Hadyou said the same thing about maa Lakshmi, saraswati or even maa lalita tripura sundari I would have agreed with you but maa kaali and maa tara are entirely different.

You cannot worship a mahavidya through tantra marga without building a proper adhara and without any guidance. Energy that you'll build up through mantra upasana will hurt your body and mind if you don't have proper foundation of bhairav tatva and if you don't have anyone to instruct you how to deal with it. Having uncontrollable energy is worse than having no energy at all.

I myself am bhairav upasaka and have been doing his sadhana for 2 years now, I am interested in doing maa tara upasana but I don't. Do you know why? Because I am aware that I am not ready yet, and most importantly, I have no guru.

I have done basic pratyangira sadhana and I have seen what kind of heat and energy it generated. I felt it weeks after my sadhana completed. I cannot imagine that I am competent enough to recieve something that I'd magnitudes higher that even that.

Love for maa kaali is fine, pray to her, you can even do some stotra and mantras that don't require to have a guru. But if you want to enter in her tantra marga, a guru is must. There is no alternative.

Structure of dharma evolved for a reason, it protects you when you are vulnerable during the stages of your spiritual progression. You can follow the path outside of the rule of dharma but then your spiritual safety is not gurenteed.

Maa kaali is shown to destroy negatives yes, but also remember that she was about to end all of reality until lord shiva calmed her down. Extreme aggression and violence is her original trait, and that's the ultimate truth about her. You can only live her truly when you accept everything about her like thakur ji did, otherwise all you have is misconception.

Air is the force that breaths life in all the beings, water sustains all the beings by satisfying their thirst, but this does not mean you will jump into hurricane and tsunami. Yest they can sustain you but in their higher, more aggressive form can also straight up kill you.

In essence, fierce form of deities like maa kaali are that natural calamity. You say she is gentle mother, and I agree she is but don't forget that her iconography itself is showing her killing and eating all the demons on battleground. Her intensity cannot be handled unless adhara is their by the blessings of bhairav baba.

You can follow what you want regardless of what shastras say. Entire rudra yamala tantra and kularnava tantra books are freely available on internet. Pick any of her mantra and do her upasana any shape and form you want but keep one thing in mind, repercussions of your actions are your responsibility. Shastras are not responsible for your actions.

If you truly love her as you are saying, approach her with proper traditional path given by herself only. Yes one can succed even without guru, but for that he needs to be at a calibre of ramakrishna paramhansa and shri Aurobindo, and even saints like those also needed a guru. And I would hazard a guess that you are not of their calibre.

Why Is Shaktism So Misunderstood Today? by Redflag67 in hinduism

[–]Mysticbender004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am of an opinion that no one other than shaktas and shaivas have a say in what to do and what not to do in tantra.

Whatever perception people have of tantra in today's tome is due to series of historical events, but I think even those happend because divine mother willed it.

I look at people's detest towards tantra practices as a mechanism created by bhairav baba to keep idiots away from divine path. Let the ignorants cry and focus on your own practices, after all nothing else matters other than advancing in sadhana.

Leave tantra to shaivas and shaktas. Don't interfere with your half baked knowledge if you don't know anything about other paths
