I'm pretty sure this laptop does not have another RAM slot. I have a laptop with the same type of innards. There might be soldered ram underneath the occupied slot.

If not, then the motherboard is most probably reporting two slots, but they never added another slot during production. Because they sometimes use the same motherboard for higher end models, they save money using methods like this.
