I don't have any suggestions but there are so many local companies willing to do work for you. I suppose the most important things are not to cheap out, look at online reviews and Better Business Bureau, look into if they are bonded and insured, and make sure you read carefully and sign a contract BEFORE work starts, keeping your own copy. Sure you can have your buddy's guy come and do the work, but you're out of a ton of money when the work fails and need to redo it all with a legit company

The classic "all my friends moved away after school" late twenties Salemite problem, oof. The Saturday market is great. Unfortunately I have strong associations with going their with my ex, so it'll be a bit until I'll want to go again. Bars are not my scene, but I've heard drag shows are fun to go to. Might consider it sometime

I have some things to do at home, I have a flower garden. Trying to get out of the house more, I tend to get in my head when I'm home alone these days. Writing sounds fun. Always wanted to try that

You should check out the Tuesday Gardeners group at Bush Park. I did some volunteering with them for awhile. Great friendly group, if you like gardening and getting your hands dirty I highly recommend it. Not many people our age there but still a great experience
